### Reviews

**★★★★★ — na1359, March 2018**

> I worked with Memar Architects to apply for my building permit. They did all the measurements, drawings and commiunications with the City very diligently. The staff are very knowledgable and they give you the best service.

**★★★★★ — Magnolia, Oct. 2017**

> We found Memar Architects through a quick Google search. We had previously spoken with other architects in the area, and were pleasantly surprised by Sean and his team's professionalism, process, and price.
>
> Arezoo was the architect who managed our new home design. She made herself available to have several meetings with us, to discuss house plan ideas and make several stages of revisions. She listened to our ideas, and put them onto paper, creating a beautiful home design. Her follow up was thorough and prompt, and she knew City of Toronto by-laws well, contributing to a positive experience with the permit department.
>
> Also of note, our dealings with the engineer supporting our project have been exceptional--he is always prompt to answer any questions as we've gone through the framing process.
>
> We have not hesitated to recommend Arezoo, Sean, and their team to various friends who have upcoming construction projects.

**★★★★★ — Lan Zhang, Aug. 2017**

> We had very positive experience working with Memar Architect, whose service we retained for a two story rear addition project.
>
> We found Memar Architect through“Houzz”, which present good reviews for Memar. After a round of in person interviews with a handful of the recommended candidates, Memar stood out due to their competitive price; clear and direct approach towards the project.
>
> We met Sean, the principle of the firm during our initial meeting. It was evident that he knew his business like the back of his hand; he gave us a quick overview of the whole process from beginning to obtaining permit; the timeline and the goal of each stage. As nervous and clueless as any home owners who were about to take on a major renovation project, we bombarded him with all kinds of questions, he addressed them one by one in an explicit manner. After our first meeting with Sean, we felt somewhat less overwhelmed or daunted about this new venture. During the following meetings with him, we got more and more impressed by his efficiency, knowledge and his intelligence. Sean is very clear minded and a quick thinker, nothing seems to leave him at his wits end; he always managed to come up with a solution if he didn't already have one to the problem or difficulties we encountered, nothing seemed to stand in the way or frustrate him. He represented us at the committee of adjustment meeting; he and his team communicated with the city, and prepared primary strategy and a contingency plan for the hearing. All we had to do was to take some pictures as evidence/demonstration for the COA hearing. We were planning to compromise on certain features in order to move the project ahead, but Sean believed our plan/design was good and reasonable and had precedents, he went ahead and presented as is to the board and addressed their questions in a professional and experienced style which convinced the board despite the obstacles from City Planning Department. We got approval. As the principle of the firm, Sean is also accommodating, if you have some special requests he is willing to help and make it easier for you.
>
> Aside from Sean who oversaw our project, we were also assigned with the senior architect of the firm Khalid to be our project manager. Khalid has had years of hands-on experience on top of his master degree in architect. He quickly established a clear vision of what we wished to achieve for this project after we briefly described our idea in an amateur manner. He also gave us professional advice or recommendations for the aspects that we were not certain about. We mentioned that we had a rather tight budget and wished to have something practical and solid rather than luxury; he integrated that principle into the design, and suggested us to cut back on the features that weren’t necessary. It only took him one meeting to put together the architect drawings for the project and another one to firm the details. It is worth mentioning that the drawings from Khalid are well received and complimented by different general contractors who we interviewed. In addition to the architect drawing, Khalid also coordinated with the engineer and electrician for the mechanic and electric drawings. During the three months permit application period, Khalid took care of all the communicating with the city examiners and updated us frequently, which lead us smoothly to the final issuing of the permit. Throughout the process, he was patient, responsive and attentive.
>
> All and all, we had very pleasant and relatively stress free working experience with Memar Architect. During the time span of a year, Sean and Khalid as well as the other team members Duyen, Lucy to name a few had helped, guided and supported us through the long and arduous journey of design, planning, zoning, Committee of Adjustments as well as the permit application. To carry out an extensive renovation is certainly not a walk in the park for most people, therefore, to have a team of competent and trustworthy professionals working along your side throughout the process will make your life a lot easier. I would highly recommend Memar Architect to anyone in need of architect design, renovation and the sort.

> We found Memar honest and very reasonable with us even if we had to do changes often in the drawing, They are well experience and very quick to understand what exactly we wanted and rather came with little more improved version in just no time.

> We first heard of Memar Architects through a house they have designed and built in the neighborhood. We were very impressed with their innovative and creative design concepts. So we decided to hire Memar Architects Inc, Sean Toussi to design, manage and plan for the three houses for us. They have been very patient in walking through the whole planning process step by step with us that includes budget analysis, site plan drawings, design, application review, market strategies. They are very knowledgeable and responsive in providing us with good advices and peace of mind! We look forward to working with Memar Architects in our future projects.

**Comment from memararchitects:**

> Dear Carriewu, Thank you for your review and for choosing Memar Architects. We are happy that you enjoyed working with us and we are looking forward to having you again as a client in our company.

**★★★★★ — Rose Glenn, Oct. 2015**

> We employed Memar Architects for the design of a new house. Initially, we were hesitant to do addition and renovation vs. new construction so our first consultation with them proved to be very informative, especially given their experience in the construction management side. They were very receptive to our ideas and made great suggestions which helped up gain the perfect balance between what we hoped to achieve, what we needed and our budget. We're very happy with their final design for our house and so, for their expertise, experience and professionalism, we'd highly recommend them.

**Comment from memararchitects:**

> Dear Rose, Thank you for your review and for choosing Memar Architects. We are happy that you enjoyed working with us and we are looking forward to having you again as a client in our company.

> addition.
> My job wasn't the biggest although they made me feel like I was spending millions on how much great service I received. They made me feel like I could do better without adding to the bill which is mentorship in my eye. Detail oriented and never too busy to help. I'm so glad I found Memar Architecture.

**★★★★★ — neginmastouri, Dec. 2014**

> We originally reached out to Sean Toussi and his team for a major renovation to our house. They helped us with analyzing the costs, time and effort needed to do the job and finally we decided to go with a new house. They put together a total budget targets, and created a custom progress chart for our construction to make sure we keep track of our cost and time. The design was creative with amazing respond time.

**★★★★★ — Ranjit Sarai, Sept. 2014**

> We interviewed a number of architects and designer for our custom home in Oakville. We're glad we went with Memar and specifically Khalid, their lead designer. Khalid's experience and knowledge was also demonstrated when designing the home - we literally started with ideas on a napkin and Khalid converted that to our final plans and added his insight along the way making excellent recommendations. This price was also very competitive.
>
> Sean, the owner, has a great company and people like Khalid are really committed to their clients. Khalid was quick to respond and on several occasions he went above and beyond to make sure changes we had were incorporated and issues expedited with the city.
>
> Some constructive feedback - Memar recently expanded into Oakville, we had some ups and down with the submission process with the town but that is partly because the bylaws also changed this year. Khalid was patient and helped us navigate the intricacies of dealing with the city. Any future projects this team does in oakville won't have any problems I'm sure.
>
> We're in the construction phase and looking forward to our new home thanks in big part to Memar and Khalid!

**★★★★★ — tdellison, May 2014**

> I dealt with Memar Architects in different projects. The latest was front, rear and second floor additions of my house in Mississauga. They are very experienced in dealing with permit drawings preparation. We got the approval for the architectural and structural drawings from the first shot, which is unusual for the City of Mississauga. They provide premium and high customer service. They respond immediately for your inquiries. I like working with these professionals and do recommend them for everyone.
>
> My project will be stating End of July 2014
