## Community Q&A

**Q: Help choosing bedroom paint!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello,

I have recently started giving my bedroom a "facelift" and I think that one of the most important factors will be choosing a new paint color. I have been struggling with choosing a color that is the right tone to match the rest of the room and that is dark enough to contrast the headboard but not too dark. Please help! I would appreciate any/all suggestions for paint colors, preferably in Benjamin Moore because I really like the product.

A: Sherwin Williams.

A: Powder bath faucet.

**Q: Fireplace mantle** *(in Design Dilemma)*

What is wrong here?

A: Get rid of mantle.Pull stone all the way to the ceiling. The install a smaller color coordinated with the stone mantle.

**Q: Granite seam is hideous** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I had granite countertops installed yesterday and to my surprise they pieced together two pieces on a very small are. The seam is about 3 inches from my undermount sink, gets light from a window over the sink and looks hideous. I went with granite and was upsold from vinyl because they said I could avoid seams that way given the profile I wanted. It looks like a crack that's been repaired. I'm talking with the store manager and designer to see if they will remedy the situation, but I'm wondering what you Houzzers think about how this looks. My kitchen is small, I'm on a budget and was SO SO SO excited to get these countertops and finish freshening up a 30-year-old kitchen. I'll refrain from naming the companies responsible until they have had a chance to make good on this, but I am I'm bummed. What do you think and what should I do?

A: By the way. I never let my fabricators cut at the sink. Thats a focal point and people pay lots of money for sink and faucet to have a cut right there.

**Q: Is there a place I could buy the same mirror over fireplace...reply please!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I can make you one.

**Q: The formal entry way to my new house has two of these lit panels. I'm not sure what to put in them. There is a panel, then the archway opening for the dining room, then another panel. I'm not really a fine art person, and don't want pictures as there is a gallery wall in my living room.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

A: No art, then sheetrock over them texture and paint to look like the rest of the wall.
