(TWD). I hired them to fix a window leak. They investigated the source of the leak and determined that the cause of the problem was stucco related and not a problem with the window itself. They removed the stucco from the area, repaired the problem, and applied new stucco and painted the area. Looks perfect. Can not even tell what section of the stucco was replaced. All of the people I dealt with were professional and easy to work with. They kept me informed throughout the process and made it clear from the beginning of the job that they would work with me until I was fully satisfied. They started in late October and finished in early February on two bathroom remodels. > > These weren't complete remodels, only retiling and new showers. The cabinets remained in as well as countertops. They estimated 6 weeks at the beginning of the job and almost 4 months later, they finally finished. > They punched a hole from the guest bathroom into our living room during demolition. The fix was poorly communicated and a mess that dragged out for two months. The framing inside our wall has PERMANENT DAMAGE!!! > > They absolutely botched the master bath remodel by unevenly building the pony wall and not discovering it until the contractor that installed the door and glass said that he couldn't install the glass because it wouldn't be straight. This is more time wasted by a poor project manager. > > These are only the top two of at least five botches by the company. On a positive note, the workers were very nice and the finished product was quality after they turned our life upside down for 4+ months for 6 weeks of work. > > I would still give zero stars if I could because of the holiday disruption that wasn't supposed to happen and the late January out of town visitors that we had planned that we had to cancel because TWD couldn't manage a moderately complex job. **Comment from Todd Whittaker Drywall Inc.:** > Eddie, thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback. We do apologize that you feel this strongly against our company and the beautiful work that we have done for you. Working closely with your wife on the planning, this project was bid for both bathrooms to be done simultaneously and was estimated to be done in that 6 week timeframe, which was outlined on the contract in bold colored text that she signed. This timeline was completely do-able until you refused to let us schedule it that way when it came time to start. At no point did we ever pass along all of the extra fees that TWD incurred for you not allowing us to do this. This forced every crew member, subcontractor and vendor that we utilized for your project to have to make double the trips to your home than what was included in the original contract and in turn doubled the length of the schedule. At no time did we want your project to take months and incur additional costs that we had to cover in order to fulfill your contract to your satisfaction, but we did our best to work within your parameters. > > It is a common occurrence to have nail pops and/or minor damage on the backside of a wall that you are doing construction and demo on. Any type of movement like that can cause damage, however it does not indicate anything was done faulty or in a destructive manner. These imperfections were repaired during the normal construction process. > > The elaborate illustration that you have shared in your review is definitely something that we take very seriously. Just the same as when you made accusations on-site to our company that we somehow caused a water leak on the exterior of your home to a window that we were not working on. Being blamed, we went over and above performing a free water test service for you even though we knew it had nothing to do with our company. In doing that for you, we provided you proof that you had an exterior stucco and window leak that would have cause you future water damage that would escalate. Please know that this diagnostic service was not part of our contract with you, and again shows the extensive levels that we went to in order to provide you with the level of service that we stand by. If going to all of these lengths for a customer earns us zero stars, then there is nothing that we ever could have done to earn your respect. At the end of the day, your bathrooms were completed on time with the parameters that you allowed us to have and they came out absolutely beautiful. **★★★★★ — HU-4181352, April 2022** > After fruitlessly searching for weeks for someone who specifically does stucco repair, we learned about TWD and gave them a call. We're extremely glad we did. The receptionist we initially spoke with was extremely friendly and helpful and took our information and said someone would be in contact with us soon, and in fact we received a callback that same afternoon. After explaining what we wished to have done, within a couple of days we received an estimate and timetable for completion of the work. The service people who came on the scheduled work dates were able to patch a damaged spot in the stucco on the side of our unit and fill in a large gap that had been left in a door frame pop out. They were to a person very friendly and professional, and the quality of the finished project was excellent. After 3 different individuals/companies attempted to repair the stucco on my backyard walls, I was left unsatisfied and looking for a professional who specializes in stucco. This bathroom features a Madison door style in Painted Gray finish with a black glaze. **Q: What is the 12 x 24 floor tile and the shower floor tile?** *(in Photo Questions)* This shower is almost exactly what I am wanting. I had already picked out the Chicago Southside brick tile and have been looking for other tile for the floors that would complement. A: Thank you for your question. This remodel includes 12" x 24" Stone Mountain Alabaster tile from Bedrosians Tile. We laid with a 33% offset. Here's another photo showing the floor for you. **Q: Beautiful look! While a lot of the new product on the market is advertised as waterproof, it is not 100% guaranteed that moisture cannot cause any damage due to the cut ends and butting up to the curb. Flooring installers will utilize a color matched caulking to seal joints, however preventative maintenance is key.
