They began in April and finished in early August, just as they said they would. It was as painless a process as it could possibly have been. We knew we wanted a house we could grow older in and asked for an elevator, ADA compliant doors, and a threshold-less shower in the master bath. Though these were things they might not have done before, they were gracious about doing them all, even to the point of framing in the elevator shaft so that the elevator company could install the machine. The house is as cosy and pleasant as it could be, and we are so happy we had Paragon build it. Their year warranty is excellent: they called off and on over the first year we were in the house to check on things, and by the end of our first year in the house, they sent people to repair or otherwise fix things we thought needed it. At the beginning of the process, I was so afraid that we'd maybe be able to find a builder that my husband could barely tolerate, but the Paragon people, from the top chiefs to the project manager to the workers, were always responsive and respectful and listened to us. We learned a lot from them, too. The house is gorgeous and really well made. The builder has always been super helpful and open to suggestions, and the minor issues we did have were addressed promptly and with a kind attitude. Paragon's houses have a character, and are built with care and to last. Thank you! **Q: Help in Nashville area...** *(in Design Dilemma)* We would really like to put a glass and metal door in the hallway leading to my husband's office (as an additional sound barrier and for adding style). An example of the style we like is attached. I have also created the concept in the exact space we have. I would like to do internal french style door (they would measure 18" by 96" x2 (we have tall door frames). I can't find a company in the area that does these kind of doors. I don't need commercial grade (and commercial prices!) but only see this style from commercial type companies.
