> My experience with Design Build Brooklyn could not have been worse. I contacted Jackie to discuss a 2 kitchen project and I emailed her as she asked. She never responded until I followed up the next week. After that, we set a meeting at the house for a consultation, and her secretary called me and told me she would either be late or not be able to make it. After the late consultation, Jackie promised me drawings by the end of the week, and a quote shortly after. Of course, by week's end, no drawings. I got a very apologetic call from the assistant who then promised me drawings and a quote by the following monday. Again, no communication whatsoever and my project was officially being delayed. After following up after Jackie missed another deadline, 2 days later I received an email that they would not be able to take on my project. This 3 person team is highly unprofessional and led me on for OVER 3 WEEKS before informing me they would not take on my project. This is a customer service based industry and Jackie caused me a huge delay as she led me on. I do not recommend them.

We were looking to renovate our oddly shaped kitchen space and wanted it to flow with the rest of our loft and it's variety of woods and metals.  Jackie's ideas and designs were exactly what we were looking for.  She is creative, hard working and patient.  We reused a piece of wood for the top of the island to save money.  When it wasn't quite big enough to cover the cabinets, Jackie thought to create a border of wood.  It looks great!   In addition, she was key in helping us decide how best to design the backsplash and was super patient as it took us awhile before we decided on right tiles.  I would recommend Jackie for a renovation project and plan to work with her again on other projects in the future.

I had the taste of a millionaire but not the budget.  Jackie worked within our budget perfectly.  She provided me samples to bring home and ponder. ## Community Q&A

**Q: HELP! NEED A QUARTZ THAT LOOKS LIKE CALACATTA MARBLE!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

OK here is the dilemma im having......I am doing a white kitchen, white cabinets, subway white tiles and white quartz countertops.  I want the closest quartz I can get to calacatta marble (white with gray veins). Now the problem is that all the quartz I have looked at so far has these specs in it and/or its a tad dingy and I don't like that......
Calacatta Nuvo by Cesarstone seems to be the closest I can find....
Cambria Torquay is \#2 close but looks a little dingy in person....
For a white on white kitchen whats the best quartz that actually looks like calacatta marble?????????

A: Germain, of the samples you have, I have had the best experience with the Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo. Also, Pental Quartz and Leadstone make some nice looking ones, Good luck!
