Christopher Hall founded his practice in 1990, shortly after completing an apprenticeship on Nantucket Island that focused primarily on residential homes and additions. It was during this apprenticeship that Chris fell in love with residential architecture and the New England shingle style aesthetic. Over the last 30 years, Chris has worked on a wide range of residential projects in Metro West Boston and the coasts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida. His life-long passion for design, construction, and craftsmanship continues with the building his own family’s house in Little Compton, Rhode Island. Chris enjoys fly fishing, furniture making, and motorcycling the back roads of New England. He has a bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.

> My husband and I worked closely with Chris and his team to create our dream house in the suburbs of Boston.  We are both strongly-opinionated people and came to the process with ideas about what we wanted in a house and a certain degree of inflexibility as it relates to those ideas.  Chris was incredibly creative, patient, and innovative in how he took what we gave him and turned it into a design that honored our wishes while marrying the plan beautifully to our home's context:  the site, the neighborhood, the New England aesthetic (and local zoning laws!).  Our home feels like we have always lived there, which is the biggest compliment I can think of, and it's because Chris is so skilled at employing empathy alongside his architectural expertise, which is considerable.  We loved working with him.

> Chris was the Architect on our beautiful home.
