When I made the appointment I was told there was a $59 service fee and that their rate was $85 per hour. The gentleman on the phone (owner?) estimated the job to take between 2 - 3 hours. Fair enough. > > To our surprise, TWEO plumbers arrived and "re-estimated";the job between $500 - 600, including labor and materials. Since my wife already took the day off from work we bit the bullet and had them do the job. > The job did take exactly three hours. They charged us the$59 service fee and approximately $50 for materials. They also charged us $450 for labor..................evidently $75 per hour for each of the plumbers. The grand total was $558, nearly twice the estimate. > > Whiled they arrived on time and seemingly did quality work, there is no excuse for the "bait and switch" regarding the labor cost. They told my wife "the job was more difficult than they originally thought". I call BS.
