**Q: Could you tell me the Cabinet color, please.** *(in Photo Questions)*

The Cabinet Color and company

A: It look similar to Grey Owl by Benjamin Moore? It's a nice light cool grey! Here is Gray Owl
in another room on the walls.

**Q: How do I arrange my furniture?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Also, I feel like I have too many dark pieces. What can I do to lighten it up? I need to keep the couches and dining room table.
There is a an electric fireplace behind the love seat and no one really watches the tv.

A: Try 8x10 for the rug ...maybe 9x12 and place the furniture half way on it ... draw it up on graph paper to see which size works better? Too small of rugs is a common mistake people make. I agree about the love seat in front of the window and maybe an end table by the sofa or love seat. Try a large plant in one of the brighter corners?

**Q: Subway tile brand, color, glossiness ... need one very soon! Thank you** *(in Photo Questions)*

Beautiful kitchen! I need a subway tile and like this one ... Is this one glossy? Subway tiles do vary quite a bit!? Do you know who/where to buy this particular one?

A: Thank you very much! I’ve been looking at waterworks and couldn’t find the perfect one it’s much better to see it in a photo! Using it with Himalayan quartzite! Stay tuned for photos! 😊

**Q: color of wood flooring** *(in Flooring)*

We have diamond kitchen cabinets, color is Havana, what color of wood flooring should we go with?

A: Go lighter as lighter floors are trending and thats a fairly warm color so a light oak might work.

**Q: Incorrect placement of body sprays** *(in Photo Questions)*

Designing shower heads and body sprays that face directly at a shower door is not recommended by anyone! As a contractor with 35 years experience, it’s a disaster! I don’t know how this would even be shown as a great design...ridiculous!

A: That is awful shower in so many ways .... I agree with both comments! Why is there no main showerhead in there and why is it asymmetrically placed on the wrong wall? I believe the previous photo was equally as bad. If we’re going to write about good design let’s show good design please!

**Q: Diamond kitchen cabinets....quality and finish?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I stopped at Lowe's and the kitchen designer showed me some Diamond cabinets. She felt the quality was as good as KraftMaid and less expensive. I loved the color she showed me but there was really no shine to the door. KraftMaid was much shinier. She said she used that same cabinet at home and thought the wood grain shows through better with less shine. The color was Thatch, on maple or cherry wood. I cannot remember which one. Does anyone have any thoughts on less shiny finishes? What about the quality of Diamond cabinets? I realize cabinets from these big box stores are not the same quality as others, but we are trying to do this a budget. Thanks.

A: You can get mat finished from Diamond as well as the standard satin.
