A: These types of showers are great for wheelchair accessibility although they tend to work better (and less long term problems) on a 1st floor, slab on grade. Typically, the waterproofing hot mop pan will extend 12" or more beyond the glass enclosure just to make sure sitting water doesn't cause problems.
