> Overall, we assume Catherine had some great ideas for our home, but we didn't feel like she brought her A game when she worked with us. We were doing a kitchen remodel, and needed someone to help us choose designs, materials and layouts.

> We really didn't have much in the way of requirements, other than quartz countertops. Beyond that, the sky was the limit. Unfortunately, the first thing she did on our project was countertop recommendations, and she didn't recommend any quartz countertops, even after 2 rounds of recommendations... but we never really got a good explanation of why.
>
> After this delay, and due to the short timeline of our project, we had to move quickly, and we ended up making most of the remaining design decisions ourselves, so we really didn't feel like we got what we had hired her for. At the end, when we mentioned that we were disappointed, she blamed our communication style for the breakdown.
>
> Catherine did ultimately make some recommendations that we appreciated, on things like lighting and layouts, but we didn't feel like we got what we paid for on general kitchen design.

> On February 28th-March 2nd, I had provided the material selections and the design concept. You responded on March 3rd letting me know that you thought you had everything you needed. I said great, and please let me know if you need anything further.

> Your wife and yourself contacted me again on March 7th with questions regarding lighting, the fireplace and area rugs. We communicated through March 10th.
> I then received a text from you on March 30th inquiring about how many hours I had spent on the project thus far. I responded right away, but when I still had not heard back from you by April 5th, I emailed the invoice.

> Again, I did not hear back from you until April 17th when you emailed me requesting a discount for recommending quartzite over quartz. I explained that I had told you the pros and cons of quartz versus quartzite at our initial meeting as well as in two subsequent emails. I explained that I personally prefer the natural beauty of stone over a man made product and that it is also extremely durable. The material you selected was always ultimately up to you, but you had hired me for my opinion based on my knowledge of materials and my 39 years of experience in the design industry.
> My primary intention was to assist you in designing a beautiful kitchen that was also functional and easy to maintain, while avoiding making decisions that you would regret later.
>
> That is why I had advised against installing a large wagon wheel chandelier above a two foot island, and not to remove the brick hearth unless you were absolutely certain that the brick behind it ran all the way down to the floor.
>
> I honestly have no idea how the project turned out since I have not seen the space since it was competed and never received any photos as requested.
>
> I understand that remodel projects require a lot of attention to detail and can be stressful, and I truly hope that you are happy with the design of your kitchen and the decisions you made.

> Having just finished a total remodel, we needed help in the final details: area rugs, new master bedroom bed frame, custom bench for the end of the bed, guest bedroom sleeper sofa, great room wall art, vases, custom ottoman, custom window seat cushions, and adding a splash of color with new covers for our existing couch cushions.  Catherine also helped us re-do custom curtains that did not turn out as expected to being exactly what I was hoping for.  There were a few issues with delivery, and Catherine's husband actually came over to help out with a couch delivery - she is dedicated to making sure everything turns out exactly as envisioned.  Catherine really listened to us.  As part of working with Catherine, she gave us the "HGTV" option where she selects pieces and, when we're not home, she sets up all the accessories.  I was a little worried, Catherine had a few pieces that were a bit outside my comfort zone, however Catherine has wonderful taste.  Specifically, I thought the mirrored jewelry armoire was too "much" but now that it's in, it's one of my favorite pieces!  I can't believe I ever doubted!  Catherine, if you're reading this, sorry to take advantage of you, but you're going to be my "go-to" for any more ideas!

> We were introduced to Catherine at the tail end of our first remodel project – the master bath back in 2014.  We had initially picked out the cabinets and countertop but felt we needed some “style” to really pop the space.  In a panic, we blindly called Catherine and introduced ourselves and begged her to come help out with the project.  Within a day she showed up at our house and after talking to us came up with beautiful ideas on accents, tiling, shower floor material, color and lighting.  It turned out beautifully elegant.  Since that experience, Catherine has been intimately involved with the next several phases of our remodels starting with initial layout designs down to cabinet accessories.  We have also used Catherine to completely redecorate multiple areas of our home from living room to our bedrooms.  In fact, after she understood our tastes, we would leave the house for several hours and return to a completely redecorated living space.  I must say that throughout the two plus years that Catherine has helped us, at times I wasn’t sure the items she was picking out would look good in our house but after consistently proving me wrong I have come to the point to just trust the expert because it ALWAYS looks incredible after she is done.  I would highly recommend Catherine.
