Kate painted 10 murals, ranging from small to covering the entire wall. The end results are spectacular!! The first one she did was in the entryway and when I came home from work that day and opened the door I was flooded with an overwhelming sense of calmness, I actually smiled when I walked in. Her work totally transformed the energy in the whole area. Now I love being in there because just looking at and being surrounded by her work makes my soul happy. Any suggestion or advice will be appreciated . A: Colors are very personal. I don't believe in rules when it comes to what color is best for what room. So much depends on your taste, your style, the mood you are going for, what you're comfortable with, your fabrics and furnishings. Try some colors that you can pick up for a couple of bucks in the sample jars, paint out a large piece of poster board and put it up in your rooms, check it out in different lights and against different fabrics. If you're not comfortable choosing on your own or feel overwhelmed it may be helpful to have someone to come in and help with a consultation. Have fun with it! **Q: Updating my kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)* WE are updating our kitchen that has not been touched since 1959. We like the traditional lookk and went with white cabinets and a beige countertop that has flecks of deep purple in it. The kitchen has a large eat in section. It gets great morning sun. What color do I paint the walls??? A: You have a lot of neutral there and It looks as if it could handle a good pop of color. What colors are in your adjoining rooms?
