His recommendation was laminate in entrance (tile was there), family room (rug was there), halls and den (laminate dark). Thomas mentioned to provide laminate through out the entire house including bedrooms and kitchen for a better flow. We did not replace the bedrooms or kitchen, as this time. Thank you for taking the time to tell about your experience with us! **★★★ — eabe, July 2013** > Quick response to my inquiry on a Monday or Tuesday, however the appointment was set out for several days later, Friday. The salesperson came to my home, took measurements and provided two quotes depending on which products I chose for the project. Very few samples were presented and when I made my decision the next day, due to the salesperson schedule, the project had to wait until the next week because the office is closed on Sunday. Since few samples were presented on the home visit, it was recommended to visit the showroom for color options. I visited the showroom on the following Monday when the showroom opened and made my final selection. They helped find products that were available quickly for install on the following Thursday. The workers started on Thursday and were done on Friday. The results are pretty floors. The installers removed the baseboards and carpetl After installing the new floors, they reattached the baseboards. The base boards now sit on top of the new floors, but since the previous flooring covered the bottom part of the baseboards, you can now see the parts of the baseboards that have no paint. Not very pretty. I was able to paint floorboards on one of the main rooms prior to the installers reattaching them, but wish Simas had offered to paint the floor boards or had anticipated that on the day of the quote so that I could change my schedule to allow for painting all the floorboards prior to reattaching them. Overall, carpet is gone and new floors 2 weeks after I showed interest in Simas.
