### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Flawless Interior Design, Sept. 2019**

> We were looking for Extraordinary Chandeliers and found them at Leicht. The Chandeliers were absolutely stunning, worth the price and wait time. My Client was thrilled by these pieces of Art!! Highly recommended.

**★★★★ — NYC Gypsy, March 2017**

> Our kitchen came out looking great. Very modern/sleek, with great looking accessories that maximize your space and are well-designed. There are lots of options to customize with this company that will make your kitchen unique and yours. Only drawback were the long lead times but that is the price you pay to have a custom kitchen!

**★★★★★ — Dave Solara, June 2016**

> Leicht New york Kitchens did a wonderful job on my kitchen and bathrooms. The team that works with us are professional, reliable and a pleasure to deal with. They were there for us every step of the way - for advice about cutting our marble and picking out lighting and tiles - they helped with everything. My husband and are thrilled with the final product. We cannot say enough good things about them.
> Our kitchen is amazing,i love to get up in the morning to look at it........

**★ — Flemming Nielsen, March 2016**

> Cannot recommend Leicht
>
> We commenced this project in March 2015 and project was scheduled to be finalized in July 2015. We liked the design very much, but realized early in the process that execution and project management does not exist. many promises have been made but NOTHING has ever been right - company does not take responsibility and will do everything to point fingers at others.
> Now it is March 2016 and project is still ongoing. I am sure that we will go way past the one year anniversary before we are done.

**★★★ — Judy Jamison, Dec. 2015**

> Our paid-in-full kitchen was delivered in early July. Some glass items were broken. The wrong dishwasher was installed. Some panels had not been measured correctly. None of this seemed major as part of a full-scale, gut renovation. It is now mid-December. The punch list for the rest of the apartment has been taken care of. The renovation has been completed...EXCEPT FOR THE KITCHEN. The correct dishwasher is now in place, but, despite all the promises, we are still missing the very visible glass cabinet door, sides to shelves in the pantry (jars fall out and smash on the floor if I'm not careful), the panels to conceal the inner workings of the cook top, touch-ups to damaged high-gloss cabinet doors, etc. etc. etc. Good quality product, but I now see why everything has to be paid up front: the installation and follow-up are anything but satisfactory. Leicht has all our money, but we don't have all the kitchen!
>
> UPDATE: Since I posted this review, Leicht has taken note of my comments. They have now completed our kitchen, correcting all of the main problems. I had a visit from the project manager and the representative in New York, Mayan Metzler, visited to view the kitchen and respond to my concerns. The product continues to be excellent and I would note that the end result (layout, functionality, aesthetics, etc.) is great.

> I have to say, I was skeptical at first, but I just had my new Leicht kitchen installed and I can't rave enough about the experience and most especially the outcome! Yes, these kitchens are PRICEY. But having done my last kitchen w/IKEA, it's like going from a golf cart to a Mercedes Benz. Yoram, in the NYC showroom on the UWS helped me -- came and measured twice with his team and walked me through several design options, sketched out in 3-D. He helped me pick finishes and narrow in on which style cabinetry would be best. He directed me to a wonderful and VERY well-priced supplier for all of my appliances (AJ Madison). And much to my surprise my kitchen was delivered weeks early from overseas -- and installation began. Again, a COMPLETELY different experience from IKEA. The Leicht install team was impeccible, clean, knowledgable and detail oriented. Rather than racing through, they took their time and made sure everything was done right. And boy oh boy does it show! I would reccommend anyone to Leicht. Your kitchen will be so beautiful (and functional) that you'll never want to leave it!

**★★★★★ — allidastauber, July 2014**

> A thirty-five year old small, bland and outdated condominium kitchen was transformed by the Leicht Westchester professionals into a sleek contemporary show-stopping example of what uber-quality cabinetry and excellence in design can achieve. Thank you Ohad and your team for overseeing this process with competence, support and good humor; you were a pleasure to work with. We are delighted with the finished product.

**★★★★★ — KBR Design & Build, March 2014**

> Pleasure working with Mayan. He is extremely knowledgable and experienced in his field which made it easier to trust all his suggestions.

**★★★★★ — enusblatt, Nov. 2013**

> Great people to work with. Delivery and service are fantastic. Quality of workmanship is pristine and their design showroom was impeccable. Pricing is very competitive. In short, their word is the bond.

**★★★★★ — Adria Marble and Granite, July 2013**

> Ohad is a pleasure to work with. He's always helpful, knowledgeable and practical.
>
> He is very focused on meeting clients' needs and provides excellent customer service. If you choose Leicht for your cabinetry you'll be living in style with a smile!

**★★★★★ — Michael Drew, June 2013**

> My experience with Leicht has been a positive one; I love this product. The clean lines of the cabinetry are beautiful and can be used in virtually any room where extra storage and functionality may be needed. Working with this company has been great; they keep to their schedules and stand behind their work and product line. My clients have been very happy with the outcome of their renovations.
> I highly recommend this product and the companies services.

**★★★★★ — isaacdana, May 2013**

> Highest kitchen quality, with professional installation. delivery time was exactly as estimated, very professional and personal costumer service throughout the process, very happy with the kitchen cabinets and will definitely buy a Leicht kitchen again for my next projects.

## Community Q&A

**Q: kitchen layout help** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Looking to build a new kitchen in our new house but have some questions about how to do it. we were given this by our contractor and it seems good for out needs. I gives us the L kitchen we wanted and a long Island that we could use as a table. it navigates a weirdly laid out kitchen space with a fire place protruding into the room on one side and low windows and a door on the other. But we are worried about a lack of cabinet space and have questions about appliance placement. also we would prefer to sinks for religious purposes (we keep meat and dairy separate). I wish we has a computer developed picture for this but unfortunately this ia what we have. Any input from this amazing forum would be greatly appreciated :)

A: Hi Roni... Just a couple of quick tips... 1. Aim for 24-60" of counter space between the sink and stove, this is your prep/cleanup work surface which should be located ~between~ the sink and stove, not off to the side... 2. It's recommended to never put a microwave hood/over the range microwave up against a wall to the right side. Why? Because ~every~ microwave has the hinges on the left side, therefore it can be really awkward to access with the door opening into your face... 3. Try for a minimum 6-9" between the stove and a wall, 12" is preferable, there are nice 6" and 12" base cabinet pullout spice racks, this allows for "elbow room" (think of the act of flipping something, elbow out) as well as a small strip of handy countertop to lay down a spoon or something, plus is safer if you have a pot boil over or (if your stove is gas) if the flame comes out the side... 4. You're showing a 36" wide sink cabinet but personally I've never seen anyone use larger than a 32" sink, and it was literally a small bathtub. You don't need a cabinet that large because I doubt you'll buy a sink that large. That is a WAY oversized cabinet. Make it smaller and pick up extra storage space for the other cabinets on that wall. I have a family of 5 and a 24" sink base with a 21' wide sink ~because I have a dishwasher~. I rarely hand wash anything so I don't need a ridiculously large sink. For roasting pans I just angle them in, which I prefer anyway because the water runs out as I scrub and I get more elbow grease. I did go 11" deep though... 5. Because space is tight maybe consider a 30" bottom-freezer fridge? You'll pick up 6" extra and they're quite spacious. Again, that is what I have for my family of 5... 6. I imagine you will need pantry space so I recommend using pantries all along the backside of the fireplace. And seriously, I can't imagine what you would do with that silly little strip of 12" deep countertop. It will just collect junk. Make the pantries the same depth as the wall cabinets (a standard size from most cabinet makers, no extra charge) and this way you'll never lose anything way in the back of the cabinet, everything is easy to line up and see and grab. It's an awesome amount of storage, and you could even keep separate meat and dairy dishes there... \*\*\*So overall what would I do? I attached a sketch. I literally did this in just a few minutes so please excuse the sloppiness and I suppose there may be a mathmatical error possibly, I didn't double check like I would for a client and I have to head home. :) And ~wow~ is it crooked... sorry! If you want to work with a professional kitchen designer you can call us 888-209-5240. Kitchens start at $10,000 and we install all over the country. You can also download a free kitchen design planner at www.germankitchencenter.com, then click "kitchen brands" at the top, click "Nobilia", then scroll down to "Free 3D Kitchen Design Program". This is so cool because you just plug in your measurements and it kicks back a whole bunch of layouts to choose from! Also, if you click on "About" and scroll down you'll see my videos and maybe you'll find something there to inspire you. Hope this helps! - Sheri Mercadante
