## Community Q&A

**Q: wondering where to find the green wall cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Interested in cabinets and color.

A: Thanks for the enquiry. This was a custom colour and built-in configured to house a wall bed that we designed and had fabricated by our cabinet-maker.

**Q: Backsplash** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the backsplash tile?   Thanks!

A: Thank you for your question regarding the backsplash tile selected for this project. In the interest of my clients who hired me to complete this project I cannot share the manufacturer nor supplier of  the tile. However, I can tell you that it is a charcoal glass backsplash which consists of a combination of shaped tile in two different finishes. Every second tile has a tumbled appearance which makes is less opaque than the regular glass finish of the alternative tile.

**Q: what is the wood used in the cabinets and island?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is this the same wood as used in the living room?  I have trouble visualizing mixing woods, or matching for that matter!  Help, please!

A: A mix of 3 different types of wood was used here. The beams are fir with a custom tint, the floor is an engineered white oak & the wood cabinets are maple with a custom stain. The secret is in having great trades who can duplicate & create the tints & hues required as well as hiring a designer who knows how to mix & use colour and convey this to the trades properly. Samples for the designer's approval were always provided so that we could ensure the proper tints were achieved by the fabricators.

**Q: Stools** *(in Photo Questions)*

Please tell me where I can buy these. Thanks.

A: Sorry, but I do not know the supplier of these stools as the staging company hired by the developer supplied them. However, if you show this photo to most furniture stores they would be able to show you something similar as it is a standard style made by many manufacturer's. Your challenge wont be so much in sourcing the style as it will be in finding a manufacturer that provides the foot rest in metal as shown as opposed to wood.

**Q: Love the shower - do you know the name of the shower floor tile?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The shower floor is a mosaic mix of 5/8" x 5/8" marbles. I don't have the name of the tile but it was purchased from Tierra Sol Ceramic Tile. You could probably find something similar at a Home Depot or DIY Home Store.

**Q: Paint color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is this paint color?

A: The paint colour used in the master bedroom is Benjamin Moore - OC-30 Gray Mist. This is  Canadian Benjamin Moore code.
