After my original contractor had to back out of the project, I used HOUZZ.com to search for a new GC that was experienced with home renovations and could work with my timeline. After my first meeting with Tom & Alison, I felt comfortable with their knowledge and experience for home renovations. They even had the foresight to invite their tile setter, Jonathan, to review the project. It was impressive the way the project kept moving forward. I never had a down day when work was not scheduled and completed. Communication was excellent..all concerns and questions were always answered and therefore very few problems were encountered or were always resolved quickly. The sub contractors arrived to work on time, professional, and experts at their trade. The project required, tile craftsman, plumbers, carpenter, painter, bathroom glass specialist. When our home was originally built, twelve years ago, the builder used travertine on the walls of our shower, which was not a good choice as that material is somewhat porous. We decided to have the travertine replaced with porcelain tile and to have the mosaic on the floor of the shower replaced as well. Thomas Glass's two tile men did an outstanding job of removing the travertine on the walls and the mosaic on the floor and replacing it with the porcelain tiles and mosaic my wife and I selected at Floor & Decor. The tile workers (Jonathan and Gama) were meticulous and their finished product looks like a shower featured in a home improvement magazine. We couldn't be happier. The project was coordinated by Tom Glass's assistant, Alison, with whom we met at the outset of the project and who contacted us daily to let us know when the workers would be arriving. He was very fair about change orders, and he worked hard to ensure I was satisfied with him and his craftsmen. Tom stopped over often to check on their progress, and when new craftsmen were brought on for various parts of the project, he always came over to get them started and ensure they knew exactly what needed to be done. > At the end of the 5-week project, I had only 8 minor issues that needed his attention.
