Considering the amount of time I was now going to spend at home I felt I'd treat myself to a professional make over of the space.  The room was a challenge due to the age of my home, built in 1900's, and a fireplace creating this odd corner.  The desk selected was perfect for the challenging corner and the small decor (such as a vintage bell alarm clock) added the kind of simple character I hoped for.  I'd recommend Brian Brown studio to friends and would use again.

In the connecting foyer, an ornate console from the owner's original collection was accented with a bold black framed mirror. Original crown molding and a timeless checkered black and white tile floor create a "wow" factor upon entering the living space. Soft gray walls tie the whole design together into one seamless space with a culturally rich style.
