Jim Albright and his wife Sherre were very professional and courteous. They answered any questions I had and offered some alternatives. There quote came in under my budget. During construction of the three season room I decided to replace the existing deck. Jim gave me a fair price and his crew started on the deck the next day. The job started on August 28 and was finished on October 23. There was a 6 day interruption of work 3 days after the job started because of a problem with the town and the permit application but once it was resolved the work restarted. The crew working on the project were very good. Nearly half down, balance to be due when complete Work was sloppy, careless, not as promised. They had money problems and asked for early payment, gave them some, when I asked to stick to completion of contract before final payment, Mr. Albright hung up on me. Twice! Had to put in writing my request to have project completed by May 1. Promises made, said I would have Pella door (my mistake - was not stipulated in contract) - got cheap imitation. Windows would not close - their solution? - Remove the weather stripping! So now cheap windows have extra play and require careful maneuver to close/lock. Cross beams in crawl space only screwed in on one side - I accidentally discovered - had family member go in and correct. Rarely swept or cleaned up after work day. Would schedule work day, no show. Jim is jovial, friendly, until his financial incompetence interferes, and you catch him in questionable statements. Suggest close supervision and outside checks to be sure timeline, quality, and completion is as promised. **★★★★★ — Mary Willoughby, March 2017** > I have been involved in many building projects for my employer over the years as well as had my home remodeled and additions put on. This past fall we hired Albright Remodeling to build a new home for us. Every aspect of this project has been fabulous – the design phase, excavation with superior attention to drainage which can be a problem in our area, and the actual building of our home. All of the people involved in this project provided a high level of craftsmanship, were polite, and worked extremely hard all day, every day. It has been a long time since I have seen such an experienced and hard working crew like the ones who built our home. Jim and Sherre Albright provided a very organized and structured time line that they maintained and wonderful customer service with regularly scheduled meetings to review the progress. The cabinets are gorgeous; the windows are perfect. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased. And the cost was really very, very reasonable.
