**★★★★★ — Carol Fabbri, July 2024**

> Donna helped me renovate my whole house, from a very dated 1980's home with low ceilings and small windows to a modern and beautiful home that represents how our family lives. I didn't have the vocabulary or experience to explain what I wanted, which made her job really hard. With her patient assistance, I found words to describe the vague images I had in my mind. She did this with each room, each detail - every choice was teased out of me kindly. When the work on the house went sideways, she listened and supported me during a very difficult process.
>
> Whether you are renovating your home or a part of it, having Donna in your corner will assure that you end up with the best version of your dream within your budget. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Hi Carol! Thank you for your kind words in this review. Your project was a definite highlight, and working with you was delightful. I am grateful to have had the opportunity!
> I wish you and your family many happy years in this amazing space you now call home. My best to you all! -Donna

> Working with Donna was a pleasure. She directed me to quality materials for my new kitchen and she managed the ordering and delivery schedules. The contractors she chose for my project are great people who confirmed everything with me as the work proceeded to ensure I was satisfied with everything. This redo of my main living areas was a big undertaking and I couldn't have asked for better people with which to work.

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Thanks Caryn!
> We are so glad that you feel good about your choices, both the team, and all the selections to create your beautiful, open and bright space.
> Enjoy your new Kitchen+!!

**★★★★★ — Lydia Fisher, June 2022**

> My husband and I had never renovated a room before and we had quite a challenging bathroom to re-design because of it's small dimensions. Donna was such a great person to work with - she is easy going, let us choose out our style, but where we were clueless she could fill in the gaps seamlessly. She had excellent suggestions that never occurred to us (lighting under the floating cabinets that act as a nightlight for our kids at night, outlet inside our cabinets so our electric toothbrushes weren't on display all the time, etc) and the end result was achieved - the space looks much bigger and is much more functional than before. Her team was a pleasure to work with. We would definitely utilize her services again! Thanks Donna!!

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Thanks Lydia!
> It was such a pleasure to help you guys get this refreshed bathroom. Bathrooms can be a bear, but your's was fun to design. Working with your input and coming up with ideas to enhance the same small space was a challenge and I do love that it does look larger and is certainly lighter!
> Enjoy!

> We worked with Donna on a kitchen remodel project that extended to most of the first floor in our house. Starting with the design phase, choosing of appliances and high quality materials, through the project management we were very happy with Donnas involvement.
> We love the final open space and the contemporary and more functional design.

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Thankyou Ilia. I hope you and your family enjoy that new space for years to come!

**★★★★★ — Evan, March 2022**

> My wife and I hired Donna to design our kitchen and living room remodel and it was an excellent decision. Donna is extremely knowledgeable and fun to work with. She takes your budget, style and functionality into account when designing and planning out your project. We spent countless hours going over the cabinet layout and how we would store our items and use the space. No project goes off without some challenges but to Donna’s credit, she stayed the course, helped us navigate the problems and got us to the finish line. We absolutely love our new kitchen, it’s beautiful and is laid out perfectly . My wife and I would not only recommend Donna, we couldn’t imagine anyone else designing our next project.

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Evan! Thank you for sharing your pleasure with your kitchen. You guys stepped into this project having no idea what covid would bring, and yet the silver lining was you had the time and managed to get just about every single item on your wish list.
> The remodel looks AMAZING, and I also felt you and Misty were so much fun and such a pleasure to work with. Photos soon!! Can't wait to share!
> Wishing you both many many years of entertaining enjoyment in your new, fresh, awesome, kitchen.
> I thank YOU for the opportunity to have been able to help you through the time and challenges : )

> Because of my husband's mobility issues, we decided that a bench in our oversized shower would be helpful. After hiring a handyman for what I thought would be an easy build, I was disappointed to find that he had no experience in this area. His bench allowed for water to seep into the wood frame causing months of unidentified stagnant water odors coming from the bathroom. In my search for design assistance, I was fortunate enough to find Donna from KE Interior Solutions. She not only assessed the situation but determined who among her trade contacts would be best suited for the bench rebuild. She also went the extra mile in helping find remnant quartz that would keep the price reasonable and in recommending a qualified and responsive shower glass company. The design was elegant and the builder she chose for us was a perfect match for our unique needs. The finished product is a classy shower bench that is waterproof, comfortable and a safety addition that adds value to our bathroom. I highly recommend Donna for her customer-centric approach, her communication throughout the process and for her overall attention to detail and follow-up.

> Donna designed and executed the plan for our kitchen, bath, mudroom, and flooring renovation project. We are extremely thankful for her help and expertise through this large undertaking. The most valuable asset Donna brought to our project was her ability to determine and design the most functionality with the space we had. It really is important to bring a fresh set of eyes into your household and allow them to imagine what is best for your home. In terms of design and picking out the aspects for our project, we were thrilled with her choices for cabinetry and lighting. She pinpointed vendors and brands that made our selection process easy.
>
> On a personal level, Donna was always friendly and available. That's greatly appreciated when trying to align busy work schedules with appointments to select project pieces.
>
> The hardest part of a large home renovation project can sometimes be the first step of reaching out to a designer. We're fortunate our first email was to Donna.

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Thank you guys! I completely enjoyed working with you on your renovation! I trust you will enjoy it for years to come!

> I moved into a beautiful Spanish Style home will a 22 ft wall surrounded by windows making up my living/dining/kitchen area - luckily the wall was a blank canvas. Working with Donna to design a wall worthy of the room was a delight. From finding and sourcing the Colorado Fir Wood beams, the Colorado Native Sandstone tile, a beautiful fireplace, floating shelves and cabinets was amazing. Now that it is complete I love spending time in the space..most importantly the house now feels like my home.

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Thanks Mary! It was a very fun project for me also and I love the outcome!
> I know you'll get to enjoy the new space with many friends and family for years to come. : )

**★★★★★ — Rachel, Oct. 2021**

> We sought out Donna as an experienced, local designer who was open to working with homeowners. Donna was well worth the investment not only for the initial design work, but as our sounding board and partner during our kitchen project.
>
> What we loved most:
> \- Excellent design. Donna took our 1960's ranch (with stairs in the middle of the house), and helped us envision an open floor plan, with space, light, and custom touches. She got to know our style and what we were looking for - she made excellent recommendations on things like cabinet door style.
> \- Vendor liaison. You are going to run into issues with any remodel project. For example, when our dishwasher arrived damaged and the replacement was backordered for 6 months, Donna took it upon herself to call other local appliance stores to help us acquire a replacement. Thankfully Donna was always there to make sure that we ended up happy.
> \- Lighting layout. Donna is a master of layered lighting, and we are so pleased that this was included in the design. HUGE long-term value.
> \- Professionalism. You can tell this isn't Donna's first time designing anything--and we needed that with our tricky layout. On top of that, she was timely in her responses with us, and provided us with nice materials, like a full design binder of all our layouts, appliance descriptions, etc.
>
> What we would advise others like us:
> \- Donna has good connections - use them. She wasn't pushy about going with her vendors or contractors, and the value of having her be your advocate is enough to make it worth it. She came with us when we shopped for appliances, cabinets, and granite, and helped us coordinate the delivery and installs.
> \- Don't under-value the (extra) cost of a designer. We have had friends go without a designer to save money. Don't make that mistake! Donna's services are unique and valuable on their own and would be hard to come by in a general contractor or Pinterest board.
>
> Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to use Donna again and would recommend her to anyone looking to embark on a remodel journey.

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Hey Rachel & Colin-
> It was such a pleasure to work with you both on your remodel. I LOVE the new space you have created. As I had said all along I was so impressed with your attentions to detail, how much you researched and how important quality in detail was to you on every material.
> I look forward to getting photos and sharing them with you.
> Excellent Job and I thank you for the opportunity to be part of your project!
> I hope you enjoy it for years to come!
> Warmly-

> We are typically a DIY couple and enjoy our home remodeling projects. But when it came to our kitchen remodel, we decided it would be best if we enlisted help – especially with the “unseen” aspects of such a project. We decided to hire a designer with some credibility associated with them and not the large box store “employee de jure” model of selling things we didn’t want. We chose Donna McMahon after looking online for someone who had experience and was recognized as a qualified designer. Donna met with us first, investigated our needs, and helped us narrow our focus. Donna helped us make choices and provided feedback when it was needed. Donna also worked was our intermediary helping us choose cabinets, appliances, countertop, and tile choices – all of which had those “unforeseen hazards” we would have stumbled on without any warning. Donna kept us informed and advised as we made our kitchen choices, and everything came together better than we anticipated! We love our kitchen, and we are so truly glad we went this route with Donna McMahon – we highly recommend Donna and KE Interior Solutions!

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Thanks you guys!
> It was really fun to help you through your remodel.
> I have to say you won the DIY of the year. I am so impressed with what you were able to do yourselves in your new kitchen! truly inspiring!
> I hope you enjoy it all for a good long time- or until you move to warmer weather! : )

**★★★★★ — Ann Morris, Jan. 2021**

> WE COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT DONNA!! We have a beautiful and efficient kitchen that we would not have envisioned without Donna's assistance. She was there every step of the way with new ideas and suggestions, totally transforming our dated uninspired kitchen. Her recommendation for a contractor proved to be beyond our expectations. Beyond the kitchen her ideas for flooring and paint tied the entire house together. While waiting for our decisions her patience was admirable, and followup very thorough. In addition shopping with her at the various vendors was a pleasure. Donna could not be more highly recommended.

**Comment from KE Interior Solutions:**

> Thanks Ann and Mike!
> I loved working on your project with you and while I think it is all spectacular... Your tile work excites me the most I am thrilled you are so happy with the outcome.
> I can't wait for you to have full freedom from COVID to throw a good NEW KITCHEN party!
> Congrats!! ...and enjoy for years to come!
> Warmly-
> Donna

**★★★★★ — Tammy H., Dec. 2020**

> We cannot be happier with our new kitchen! Working with Donna was an absolute pleasure. I don't normally do this, but we felt compelled to leave a review so that anyone who is in a similar situation can find her and get the kitchen they've always wanted. Our situation was that the previous owners partially remodeled a 1970s era kitchen, and it was not holding up well. The space was oddly shaped and on the small side, and we really needed help figuring out how to maximize our space and making sure we didn't make any serious design mistakes. Donna to the rescue! She really listened to what we wanted and suggested design and utility enhancements that we never would have thought of. We went through at least 3 different layouts before we landed on the right one - this was actually a very important part of the process, because it gave us the push to think about what we wanted and why. After that, it was quite easy - she managed the project, over-communicated every step of the way, and created a beautiful space that our family loves and will use for many years to come. We were budget conscious, and Donna was good at communicating the costs and reasons behind them to justify the spend. Our experience showed us that having a professional keep track of everything, manage the project, and keep the timeline is well worth it. We recommend KE Interior Solutions if you are looking for a truly memorable space created by an organized, detail oriented designer.

## Community Q&A

**Q: what is the size of peninsula?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the countertop size of that peninsula, and what is the depth of the drawers?
Do you have an outstanding eye for design

A: https://www.houzz.com/user/jduke-ferguson
The length is in total 145", but from the framed wall (on the right side of the photo) to the refrigerator side (left end), it is more like 133".
All drawers are 24" standard depth. There is a typical half-framed wall behind the tile on the stool side. The depth of the peninsula at the deepest point behind the cooktop is approximately 43", and at the left end is about 35" Deep. This allows for 15" of surface landing BEHIND the cooktop at the deepest/centered point. It is better looking and has a built-in safety issue around the cooking surface.
Thanks for your question J Duke!

**Q: How/where can this be purchased? Cost?** *(in Photo Questions)*

And dimensions?

A: Nanci Klos
These are items that are purchased within the cabinet order. This particular cabinet line is called Ulttracraft out of North Carolina.

**Q: Love the chairs. Where are they from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the chairs. Where are they from? Thanks.

A: debra petcove
Hi there.. My client told me she found them at Crate and Barrel.
She looked online but did not see them there today.. :(

**Q: inside cabinet color** *(in Photo Questions)*

Were the interior of the cabinets painted as well?

A: Arin Chanda - NO, THE INSIDE IS TYPICAL CABINET NATURAL MAPLE MELAMINE. BUT IF A CABINET IS ORDERED "PREPPED FOR GLASS" THE INTERIOR IS A MATCHING FINISH. ALWAYS AN EXTRA CHARGE, BUT THE PROPER WAY TO DO CABINETS- IF PLANNED WITH GLASS INSERTS.
THNX FOR YOUR QUESTION : )

**Q: Love the new sinks you put in!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me the manufacturer and where you bought them?

A: Hi, codywalstrom,
This is a TOTO sink:
Locally in Denver, it was sourced through Rampart Plumbing Supply, but you can find it online.
I believe "WAZA BAROC" gives you the detail you see inside the sink walls.
(The regular cotton is less costly.)

**Q: Color/brand are the countertop and the backsplah?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What color/brand are the countertop and the backsplah?
This is exactly my kind of kitchen.
Thank you in advance.

A: em\_sweethome I have never had a bad experience with Pental materials. I even used it in my own kitchen. The Misterio especially is my favorite, but they are all great. It is my go to source on Quartz 98% of the time. : )
