> I'd just bought a house with a soggy backyard, bugs aplenty, and an abandoned cistern. After hacking down bushes and brush, I found mud up to my knees but I had no idea where it was coming from.   I asked Jake to help find the source of water and corral it into something useful.  Jake and his team dug around and found 5 ancient wooden spring boxes that were built for the cistern but had failed long ago. He recommended replacing the spring boxes with one, large, buried French drain to redirect the water back into the cistern and dry out the year.  After he was finished, I had a dry yard as promised, but I also had fresh, clean spring water flowing into the cistern at 1.2 gallons per minute!  Jake did a fantastic job and delivered more than promised.

**Q: What is the color stain or paint on bar base** *(in Photo Questions)*

Interest if the greenish/blue is a stain or paint

A: Hello!
I don't recall the exact paint and stain colors. For the painting process, first I applied the green latex paint. After that had dried, I applied a semi-transparent grey wood stain. Before that wood stain completely dried, I wiped it down a little so that more of the green showed through.

I can’t picture how the structure all meshes together.

A: Hello!  It's finished like a regular fence on the backside.

What did they do for a drainage system in this set up?

A: We installed a 10" drain pipe with 4 drain ends to capture the water. Luckily we were uphill and were able to take the water out to a lower adjacent area. Otherwide you may need to install a sump pump.

A: That's a salt finish concrete.
