This Hillside project was very ambitious, since we were working on a hillside lot with a 30 year old home. The original home seemed attractive from the outside, however, walking inside was almost like walking into a dark cave. Windows were not properly distributed and light was almost non existent. Here is where there magic came in. We had to bring 70% of the house down and pretty much created a whole new layout. We solidified the existing foundation, but decided to create a spectacular deck with Fleetwood sliding doors and a very high ceiling. Automatically, the intricate and dark original design was transformed into a gorgeous open living space that naturally merged into the deck and the beautiful hillside scenery. We added a huge master bedroom and two other bedrooms in the second story, while the first floor was beautifully set up as an entertainer’s paradise. The kitchen was designed to host great gatherings and it naturally fit along with a great room with high ceilings that embraced the dining and living area with a spectacular view to the deck. > > The project was very ambitious and it took close to 9 months to complete. The result however, was well worth it. It was hard not to want to move to that house instead of selling it, but by now it is no surprise, this is the third project we have worked together, and they keep on exceeding my expectations.
