This level of attention to detail and customer engagement set the stage for an exceptional experience. > > The scope of the project included the installation of a new pool and spa, a pavers deck, a BBQ area, a patio cover, and a fire pit. HQ Remodeling's team of skilled craftsmen brought this vision to life flawlessly. The quality of their workmanship was evident in every aspect of the project. > > The finished result is not only beautiful but also highly practical. The pool and spa are simply stunning, providing a luxurious and relaxing oasis in my backyard. The pavers deck is not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable and low-maintenance. The BBQ area and patio cover have become the perfect gathering spots for outdoor entertaining, and the fire pit adds a cozy ambiance during cooler evenings. > I am happy with HQ Remodeling's commitment to delivering exceptional results. The attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to create a backyard that is both beautiful and practical is commendable. I definitely recommend HQ Remodeling and Omer as the project manager to anyone seeking high-quality remodeling services. They have exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with my new backyard oasis. ### All 42 reviews **★★★★★ — Suzan Cohen, Oct. 2026** > We hired HQ Remodeling & Design to completely remodel our master bathroom in Costa Mesa. This was a much bigger project than just replacing the finishes. We changed the layout and basically rebuilt the bathroom, including new plumbing, electrical and everything behind the walls. > > We met with a few contractors before making a decision and felt comfortable with HQ because they had a clear plan for the project and explained everything in detail before we started. > > Once construction started, the team was organized and communication was good throughout the project. Like with any major remodel there were decisions that came up along the way, but they were responsive and helped us work through them without making the process stressful. > > The bathroom came out exactly the way we wanted. It feels much more open and functional, and everything looks completely different from what we had before. We are very happy with the finished project and would definitely use HQ again for another remodel. **★★★★★ — Jina Yang, Sept. 2026** > After interviewing several companies to remodel our home in Rancho Palos Verdes, we decided to hire hq remodeling and design because they were the most transparent and gave us good suggestion for different parts of the project. This was a huge project for us, basically remodel the whole house and update it for the next 20 years or so. HQ remodeling took care of the permits and design and everything else, so we could focus on the many decisions this kind of project requires. they also referred us to their suppliers and installers which saved us a lot of money and headache. > The project went pretty smooth, we had several change orders mostly because the house was very old. All in all we are really happy with the result and want to thank hq remodeling team. **★★★★★ — James, Sept. 2026** > Our home needed a lot of love and a serious update, so I was looking for a local GC to hire. I found HQR and after meeting with several other companies I decided to trust Eli to do our project. It was important for me to work with one company who can handle all the process. HQR took care of the design, they did the engineering, and took care of the remodeling. The process was longer than I expected because the city here in Huntington Beach is very slow with the permits. > After finally getting the permits, Eli and his team got to work and it took around 5 months to remodel the whole house including walls, floors, a new amazing kitchen, bathrooms and other details. > I was very impressed with the communication and customer service of HQR, on top of the build quality. > They also didn't hesitate to come back for a few touch ups, which I really appreciate. > I can totally recommend this company and Eli, they are reliable and really care about the project they do. **Comment from HQ Remodeling & Design, Inc.:** > Hi James, thanks for the positive feedback. We had a very specific vision of our backyard and HQ remodeling answered all of our expectations. Great communication, great people and great job! **★★ — Stefanie Kristiansen, June 2021** > BEWARE! > > Hired HQ to demo our existing driveway and install a new one. We met with Eli and he seemed nice enough and competent. Boy, were we wrong. I would say the number one problem was communication followed by not having a foreman on the job. I guess Eli was the foreman – still not sure – and the only time we saw him was when we called him with an issue. He did not visit the jobsite daily or check in with us on the progress. Our 2 -3 week job turned into 5 weeks. There were days (multiple) when no one would show up and Eli would never call/text to let us know what was happening. We always had to reach out to him. A pile of rocks/debris sat in the street in front of our driveway for a week until we asked that something be done with it. The driveway does not have a consistent slope – water pools near our entryway and garage door. There were more problems but my husband and I decided (to save our sanity) to part ways with Eli and hire a real professional to finish/fix the job. His bid for your job might come in lower than others but there is a reason for that. This was a painful process for my husband and I and we would like to spare others from making the mistake of choosing HQ remodeling. Stay away. **Comment from HQ Remodeling & Design, Inc.:** > Stefanie, I am truly sorry for the experience you describe in your review. I understand that this project didn't go smooth, and you are upset. HQ Remodeling stands behind our work and service and we did give you a refund in the amount you asked for. We also offered to come and fix the issues you were not happy with, and also offered to do a sealer for your whole driveway for free. In case you are still interested, please feel free to contact us. > This project was supervised on a daily basis, sometimes a few times a day (most of the times you were out at work). The demo process does take a few days, and this is part of the process. We will make sure to explain it better next time. Regarding the communication, we were communicating on a daily basis on a group text with you, your husband, and the project managers. Again, we are sorry for your experience and our offer for an additional refund and sealer still stands **★★★★★ — Rachel Snider, Oct. 2019** > I have a beautiful new kitchen thanks to HQ Remodeling & deign. I had never had any renovation done ever so this was brand new to me. They made it an easy and pleasant experience. Except for one glitch on a cabinet that had to be reordered everything went smoothly. All the workmen were professional, prompt and friendly. They even were nice to my dog. However, any work involving structural changes, moving walls, relocating plumbing, or adding electrical circuits requires a permit from your city's Building Division. HQ Remodeling handles all permit applications and submissions for you. **how much does a kitchen remodel cost in orange county?** Kitchen remodeling in Orange County typically ranges from $40,000 for a standard refresh with new cabinets, countertops, and fixtures, including updating the plumbing and electrical, and up to $80,000 or more for a full custom kitchen with structural changes, custom cabinetry, and high-end appliances. We provide a detailed itemized estimate after a free on-site consultation and 3D design session. **How long does a bathroom remodeling take?** A typical bathroom remodel takes 3 to 6 weeks from permit approval to completion, depending on scope. Larger bathrooms or projects involving plumbing relocation or tile work throughout may take longer. We provide a clear timeline before work begins and keep you updated at every step. **Can I build an ADU on my orange county property?** Yes. California state ADU laws allow most single-family properties to add at least one ADU and one Junior ADU. Detached ADUs typically require a minimum 4-foot setback from rear and side yard boundaries, and specific rules vary by city. We handle the full design, permit submission, and construction from start to finish. **What are the most backyard remodeling projects?** The most popular backyard projects we complete across Orange County include paver patio installations, aluminum and wood patio covers, outdoor kitchen and BBQ island builds, artificial turf installation, fire pit and seating area construction, and pool and spa installations. Southern California's year-round climate makes outdoor living spaces one of the highest-ROI investments a homeowner can make. *FAQ content may be generated based on the Pro's Houzz profile and website.* --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
