> Our journey to design, plan, and build our home began at the unfortunate height of COVID. One of the first and most important steps was finding an architecture firm in town that truly aligned with our vision. Align Architects came highly recommended, but we remained skeptical—until we met Ranjit, the co-owner and architect. From our very first meeting, working with Ranjit and his team was an absolute pleasure. What immediately stands out about Ranjit and Align is their mastery of their craft. In just two to three initial sessions, they were able to understand and capture the essence of our vision. Within a few months, the initial designs were ready—and they were already 90% there. After a handful of refinements, we were well on our way to engaging an engineer and builder to break ground. Ranjit’s architectural talent is exceptional, but what truly sets him apart is his attention to detail and his genuine commitment to client satisfaction. His project managers and administrative team are equally impressive—professional, passionate, and incredibly supportive. The front office at Align is just as warm and welcoming. Fast forward three years, and we are now living in a beautiful home. Looking back on our journey, we can’t help but appreciate the strong design foundation Ranjit and Align Architects created for us. We would gladly jump at the opportunity to work with Ranjit and his team again.

> We have property about 8 mi SW of Blanco. We were living in the north Houston suburbs at the time, approaching retirement, and decided it was time to build our dream house in the Texas Hill Country. We interviewed several well-known Austin architect firms, some brought to our attention through UT contacts, and chose Ranjit's predecessor firm. We hit it off immediately with Ranjit. He listened, quickly illustrated some ideas and possibilities, and was receptive to what we envisioned. He indicated that our project would be further out in the Hill Country than his typical one, but expressed excitement and confidence in accepting our job.
>
> His insight and vision truly shown during our first site visit. We had completely misjudged where on the property to build the house. He chose a location which dramatically enhanced our views, ensured better drainage and optimized our rainwater collection capabilities. The floor plan was great. The interior and exterior designs featured complimentary materials and well-conceived features. We were kept informed throughout by personal and Zoom meetings and the drawings and Q&A with Ranjit's able associate Kelsey. (One such time, he mildly laughed at a suggestion I had based on a picture from a competitor firm!) He also had insight on capable high-end builders with whom he had experience. And that was good advice.
>
> We love our house and we receive endless compliments. Just today, a neighbor came by and said the house ought to be in one of those architectural magazines. Anyway, we highly recommend and endorse Ranjit and know he will do you a great job. We continue 4 yrs in to recall what a good idea something was that Ranjit came up with.

> Ranjit Gupta and his team made our dream come true. He listened carefully to our ideas and project requirements, which he subsequently captured in the design - a Texas Hill Country home situated in North Carolina that receives many accolades within the community. Ranjit works very collaboratively and his design ideas always hit the mark. We could not be happier in the way it turned out.

> Rodney Palmer and his team have been extremely helpful throughout our home design process. As a fellow business owner, I genuinely appreciate his constant availability, responsiveness, his attention to detail, and professional demeanor. His architectural knowledge and skills are top notch. He listens extremely well, he allowed us to be the driver of the finished product. A colleague recommended Rodney for our home design, his reference was absolutely on point. We are very pleased with our design. I would recommend Rodney for any residential project, he has made this a fun project for us. I recommend Rodney for anyone looking for a truly exceptional architect who is easy to work with, he and his team will not disappoint. We feel fortunate to have met him, and enjoyed sharing the process of building our dream home.

  - Description: A beautiful lot in Rollingwood near the heart of Austin captivated our clients, despite the dilapidated structure that originally occupied the property. The land graciously bowed to the west, and the remarkable maturing live oaks scattered around the lot stuck out like dark tendrils in the overgrown grassy landscape. The layout and organization required a deft compilation of spaces around these gorgeous trees. The design for the new home was inspired by the client’s fascination with the classic…

  - Description: Materiality plays a key role in shaping the home’s character. Inspired by the homeowners’ travels to New York, Paris, Chicago, and Copenhagen, the interiors embody an old-world sensibility layered with contemporary warmth. Living metals, hand-glazed bricks, antique rugs, heavily grained wood, and handmade tiles imbue the spaces with a sense of patina and highlight natural imperfections over time. Rich jewel tones contrast with natural and knotty woods, leather, warm metals and natural stone addi…

  - Location: Austin, TX

  - Description: Materiality and simplicity define the architecture for this transitional home under 4,000 square feet in the Barton Creek neighborhood in West Austin. The lot presented a challenge as it was only 69 feet wide and dropped substantially to the rear (north) side making the single-story plan even more challenging. The hill country view opens up to the north and east while the west allows for privacy. The plan called for an approach from the west side and swoops in around a large majestic live oak tr…
