What should I do with these oak cabinets?I** *(in Design Dilemma)* I plan to add hardware and crown along the top of cabinet, granite counter tops and new wood floors but I am stuck with what to do with the cabinets? Do I paint white or go very dark? White I was thinking White Dove or Acacia White. Love to know some thoughts! A: Still wondering? If you can afford it and don't want to add all new cabinets, change the cabinet doors to Skaker style. That is so versatile and classic. You can refinish the base cabinets and have the doors painted to match. Add new hardware something with clean lines. Color depends on your flooring and other element in the room. A: You could do a combination of "floating" shelves and framed pictures/art surrounding the TV. Check out West elm for the shelves. **Q: what color is on the wall** *(in Photo Questions)* A: It is Behr's " On The Rocks". Don't you love it? Yes it is a light but warm grey. **Q: Curtain color help!!** *(in Design Dilemma)* We have BM Brookside Moss and BM Decorators white in the room. We also have a large window with oil rubbed bronze hanging hardware. Any suggestions for window coverings? We need some sort of insulated curtains because it gets hot here! Would it be silly to go with a bold color like Navy, since the paint is so bold? Would you stick to white? A: I would go with a creme or white and green geometric design Roman shade with lining for the functional window treatment and have panels on rings in matching creme or white on each side.
