She addressed our land and home, settled beautifully into a bed of Hill Country natural mulch to form soil, and an array of regional plants, chosen to suit to the strong conditions of drought and season, wild animals including deer, and beauty throughout the year, with little need for deep water or routine care. I have gone broke buying roundup by the dozen. I have tried vinegar, salt, and dishsoap solution which kills some but others just laugh at me. I thought about trying muriatic acid on the suckers. Most of them are in my gravel driveway. Help! Before i moved onto the lot with my RV i kept it this way (see pic) and had some nice straight lines, but it was costing me $80+ per month in roundup to do that. Now that i stopped using roundup they are all back, the lines are almost gone and there are more of them now in the driveway. How do i stop them from taking over? A: If it was me, I would just let them grow and keep them mowed. Much easier and less expensive and less damaging to our groundwaters. **Q: Shutter color design dilemma** *(in Design Dilemma)* My husband and I are having a hard time deciding shutter color. We are going with the raised panel style shutters in the same size as we currently have. Currently, the shutters are a red/orange color in which I do not like with the red roof. Since we aren’t replacing the roof anytime soon we are going to replace the shutters. Our home gets a lot of sun for most of the earlier part of the day. I was thinking navy or black.
