It soon transformed into a fully fledged maintenance company, Maintenance Solutions. The name was a good fit, because as Dan learned and grew as a contractor, he developed a distaste for work that would need maintenance in the future. It was wiser to do good work with quality materials than to let an inferior job stand that would need more work in the future. Over the next seven years the company grew, doing larger projects as the opportunities arose. More employees were hired as the need arose, and Maintenance Solutions became a fully-fledged construction company. In 2008 it was decided to change the name, because it no longer fit the business, and Heritage Home Works LLC was born. We bring years of experience to every job that we do. Dan is involved in every step of the process, whether that is a bathroom remodel, or the construction of a new home from the foundation to the shingles. Our goal is to give the care and attention that other, bigger companies lack. We do our best to provide customer satisfaction from start to finish. Most of the items have happened or discovered after the Year review. Before the one review, Heritage had to come in and fix the laminate floor because broken pieces. I wish I can load pictures to show the problems. The most expensive is redoing our floor. Throughout the 4 years since our house has been built we have notice the laminate floor raising and breaking. We have decided to redo the floor costing us over $20,000. The new installers have told us that the floor was terribly done. Also there is a 3/4 inch gap between our indoor French doors and they would not stay closed. We had someone come in to fix that. We had windows leaking after a storm, the outside of our home is peeling and we will have to have someone paint our whole house after 4 years. The price was held to our agreed price unless we made additional changes. There were several errors during the building process that we had to accommodate and could not change. Overall Dan worked hard to make things right with the adjustments that had to be made. One thing to consider is dark trim stain had way more nicks and dings than we would have hoped walking into a new home. I believe its the stain and shellac choice that was used, as an excellent shellac can stop most dings during the rest of the home building process. Regardless of the errors, we would choose Heritage Home Works again. They came out, evaluated my problem, explained what was needed to fix it and provided an estimate. I had a large bump in my sub flooring. They repaired the floor and put down a new wood floor. They were always polite and answered all of my many questions during the process. I knew when they were coming and what work was going to be done. When it was time to pick out the flooring they were patient and allowed me to take time to change my mind before ordering. A contract was signed prior to the work and the cost to me remained the same, even when the problem proved to be more difficult than anticipated. I love my flat beautiful floor and the process was without stress or worry. I would, and have, recommended Dan Harder and Dan Reiger at Heritage Home Works to anyone that wants work done on their home.
