I strive to create beautiful homes that reflect the personalities and interests of my clients with comfort being paramount. Utilizing existing furnishings where possible is important to me." JRDG, LLC grew from a lifelong love of design. Julia Rudin, principle designer in the firm, decided to return to school to study Interior Design after many years as an attorney, volunteer and mother. Still mothering and volunteering, of course, Julia now enjoys helping clients create beautiful, comfortable homes where their families can flourish. Julia strives to learn the tastes and preferences of each client, while steering them toward stretching their design wings. Comfort and functionality are paramount in an effort to design spaces that reflect the clients' interests, collections and aspirations. Julia practices budget conscious efforts such as, mixing items that clients already own with new pieces, thus retaining a sense of history and continuity while adding excitement and beauty. Staying conscious of budget is of the upmost importance. From the beginning of the project it is important to set forth clear guidelines about designer's duties, goals and compensation and I am always ready to discuss and clarify any issues that arise. Primarily working in West Houston - including Galveston, Tanglewood, Memorial and Spring Branch, JRDG is always open to adding comfortable design to new areas of Texas. ### Services Provided - Interior Design - Kitchen Design - Bathroom Design - Living Room Design - Bedroom Design - Space Planning - Color Consulting - Furniture Selection - Kids Bedroom Design - Dining Room Design - Custom Kitchen Cabinets - Lighting Design - Home Office Design & Construction - Custom Built-ins - Entry Design - Playroom Design - Nursery Design - Laundry Room Design - Mudroom Design - House Plans - Art Selection - Closet Design - Universal Design - Wine Cellar Design - Custom Shelving - Home Staging - Downsizing - Holiday Decorating - Handicap-Accessible Design - Garage Design - Garage Storage - Kitchen Remodeling ### Areas Served - Houston - Hillshire - Spring - Cypress - Katy - Bellaire - West University Place - Hunters Creek Village - Bunker Hill Village - Spring Valley - Piney Point Village - Hedwig Village - Hilshire Village ### Typical Job Cost $5,000 - 55,000 ## Business Details | Field | Value | | --- | --- | | Business Name | Julia Rudin Design Group | | Address | 17 Creekside Circle, Houston, Texas 77024, United States | | Phone | (713) 449-7966 | | Website | http:// | | Followers on Houzz | 56 | ## Contact - **Houzz profile:** [Julia Rudin Design Group](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/interior-designers-and-decorators/julia-rudin-design-group-pfvwus-pf~1258471710) - **Website:** http:// - **Phone:** (713) 449-7966 ## Credentials - **Best of Houzz:** 1 award (2018), for Service. ## Reviews **Overall rating: 5.0 out of 5 — 8 reviews** ### All 8 reviews **★★★★★ — Miriam Meyers, July 2020** > Julia was great to work with and she had great ideas! I love my new powder room! I highly recommend Julia for your home design project. **★★★★★ — Nancy Naumann, April 2020** > JRDG worked as lead in the interior design of our rebuilt hurricane Harvey flooded home. Owner Julia Rudin provided invaluable direction in the reallocation and design of room space and in the design and placement of substantial build-ins throughout the house. Julia was an invaluable hands on resource in the selection of paint colors, decorative materials and decorative hardware as well as the more practical aspect of selecting flooring, counters tops and cabinetry. She gave practical input on every aspect of the project and worked in conjunction with the architect and contractor from inspiration through construction. My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with the complete transformation our house has undergone and are grateful to Julia for her expertise in turning our devastation into a dream! **Comment from Julia Rudin Design Group:** > Thank you, Nancy, for your kind words. I enjoyed every aspect of working with you to realize your new "forever" home. So happy y'all are thrilled! **★★★★★ — Courtney Taylor, Oct. 2017** > I really enjoyed working with Julia. She helped me re-envision what my master bedroom and downstairs could be. I was stuck with boring beige, but she gave me great suggestions to change that up. Now I have a fun jewel-toned dining room, colorful accents throughout, and a navy bedroom!! I feel like the downstairs really flows now and is much more lively. Even my husband and kids agreed it all looks much better. We "shopped my house" a bit too and were able to repurpose items I had in better ways. She is flexible and worked within my desired budget. I plan to work with her again for future projects. **Comment from Julia Rudin Design Group:** > I enjoyed working with you, Courtney! You were receptive to almost all of my ideas and suggestions. I can't wait for those "future projects"! **★★★★★ — Maggie Schroeder, April 2017** > I wanted a coastal feel for my dining room and Julia came through with flying colors. Our house is more traditional so I didn't want too much. She was able to take some furniture that I already had and incorporate it into the room. Her choices of color and accent pieces really made it easy to make my choices. She also helped re-arrange some of our artwork that improved the flow of the entire downstairs. She added some touches throughout the house that made a major positive difference. **Comment from Julia Rudin Design Group:** > Thank you so much, Maggie! I enjoyed working with you in making your home even more beautiful. **★★★★★ — Creative Style Furniture,Inc., March 2017** > We love working with Julia. She is very delightful and professional. She brings great ideas to us and her work is stunning. We have worked with Julia since 2013 and hope to continue for a long time. **Comment from Julia Rudin Design Group:** > CSF does beautiful work in a professional and timely manner. I have used them for personal pieces and am never disappointed with their work for myself and clients. **★★★★★ — David Bedient, March 2017** > I hired Julia to come up with the total design concept of my flip house, inside and out. Her ideas from color choices, flooring, tile, fixtures and more brought a sale in two days of listing the property. During the open house we got a lot of compliments from agents to clients, I got the Wow factor from the curb and throughout the house. Thanks Julia. > > I would highly recommend Julia, whether it's for your personal needs or for a investment property Julia can help you design a beautiful space. **★★★★★ — Kelly Mask, Jan. 2017** > Julia is AWESOME! Took me from depressing, just-moved-in house to a finished product and worked within my budget! Gave me some things to keep in mind as I shop in the future -- and, by the same token, has saved me from some mistake purchases I almost made. She has a knack for high/low mixture, so you have some expensive, some cheaper items mixed together. SPECIALIZES in textiles -- so she knows her fabric and advises very well on that. She interned under a BIG NAME, but is a fraction of the cost of that designer! **Comment from Julia Rudin Design Group:** > Thank you, Kelly! I have enjoyed working with you and look forward to many more projects. **★★★★★ — Betty Shaw, Nov. 2016** > Judia Rudin has been very informative with ideas and projections > for my apartment. She was very eager to offer suggestions that reflected my interests and ideas. Her time line in completing her > tasks was prompt but she also was very willing to have a flexible schedule. > I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a superb decorative job for their house, apartment or office. ## Selected projects - [Tanglewood traditional](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/tanglewood-traditional-pj-vj~2347549) - Location: Houston, TX - Photos: 3 - [Mid Century Flip](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mid-century-flip-pj-vj~2084914) - Location: Houston, TX - Photos: 4 - [Book loving Francophile living room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/book-loving-francophile-living-room-pj-vj~2136878) - Location: Houston, TX - Photos: 3 [See all 3 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/interior-designers-and-decorators/julia-rudin-design-group-pfvwus-pf~1258471710) ## Ideabooks - [2211 Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/159700797/list/2211-kitchen) — 4 ideas - [Campeche Ct.
