> I went in to purchase marble.  After a lengthy demonstration Michael sold me on Neolith.  He stressed that I must use a fabricator who is trained in the product (through Ollin) and who has used it before.   My fabricator Efrain Flores lied to me and said he was trained and had used it.  After the job was complete and looked horrible I sent Michael pictures.  He agreed it looked awful and said that this was the first time he had sold Neolith to Flores and that he had not been trained.  He sold it to him anyway.  It would have been really nice if Michael acted as my last line of defense, gave me a call and warned me I was about to hire the wrong fabricator.  Everything is being ripped out and with no help from Ollin I have had to purchase new material from them and hire a new fabricator.   I have since found out that, contrary to what Michael said,  Ollin is NOT the only distributor of Neolith in South OC.  Shop around.

> Not happy with Ollin Stone. We paid for a beautiful piece of granite, we specifically asked for all of the remnants of our stone after fabrication, our contractor also asked for the remnants and we were told we would have 30 days to pick up the remnants after the stone was cut. We wanted ALL the remnants of our job. There should have been at least 15 square feet left over in various sizes no matter how they cut it (118"x72" stone longest piece cut was 90", but they apparently threw it all away. When our contractor called to pick up the remnants they said they couldn't find it, then there was none left over, zero, all used. Then after more complaints they found a two square foot piece.  I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for your expensive rocks. After the granite they fabricated was installed there were some rough spots that should have been smoothed over by Ollin's installation crew. Very disappointed in their work.

A: Hi Johanna,
We do have a nice Quartz that we distribute for a brand called ColorQuartz. It is slighty less expensive than the Neolith Calacatta.

Hi - Is this Neolith Estatuario or Calacatta?  I noticed that the floors are squares instead of slabs - is that for safety reasons?  Thank you!

A: Hi Nglinda,
The Neolith Model shown is the Estatuario E01 model, utilizing the Right & Left slabs for the book-matched look. Neolith is very suitable to be used as flooring, we'd suggest the Silk or Satin finishes. The mosaic flooring in the photo looks like its merely a part of the design.

**Q: Has anyone installed LG Viatera Rococo?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am thinking about using LG Viatera Rococo in my kitchen, but before I take the plunge I would like to see more pictures of it actually installed.... I have been searching the web, but I am having trouble finding images other than the 1 on LG's website.

**Q: Need ideas for Kitchen Island in new modern kitchen.  Last detail...Help!! (please)** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My last 2 details in the kitchen are a fan (bladeless just ordered) and an Island. I want to be able to have at least 2 seats and a work area. I also wanted to get a little more storage. Everything I find is more like a cart and I want it to look and function as both a work space and seating (with an overhang to put stools under). If you have any ideas/photos I would be sooooo grateful!

PS: I don't have original designs because I originally had a peninsula and simply swung it to the wall and ordered additional upper cabinets when I realized I could have a much better space with it open.

From the dishwasher to the end of the Quartz is 69" and the available width is about 65-70 inches wide.  

The cabinets are Thomasville (Dove Grey color)  and the counter-top is quartz (Merengo color)

A: I had a customer use the Calacatta Paonazzo on their center island with almost the same color perimeter counters and it turned out nice.
