But she is not correct when she states that we did not give a reason for these actions. > > Our service requires cooperation between our production team and our customers. > Our team trusts that the customer will provide the information they require to complete the order on time. When an order is placed, it triggers fabric and labor allocation in preparation for the order. However, if the information is not received when expected, it disrupts the process not only for that order but also for the other orders that are also in process. > > Our terms of sale clearly state the time frame for the submission of the information required – 10 days for photos and 10 days for measurements, a total of 20 days. After 60 days and repeated requests for the information we needed, we canceled her order and her deposit was forfeited. A month later, she submits her information in an email in which she describes herself as a “bad customer”. > > We informed her that, based on her non-compliance with the terms of sale, we would not complete her order. But we would provide her with a pattern for her cushion cover that she could take to a local craftsperson. The selection of fabrics is nicely curated and of high quality. Their pricing was reasonable in comparison to the quote I received from a local slipcover shop, and I can't imagine how the local shop could have done a better job, even if they had measured on site. I would strongly suggest taking the time to carefully follow their instructions and providing the most accurate measurements possible as well as good, well-lighted photos. We ordered a swatch ($0.50) and described our sectional to Mark who assured us they could make a slip-cover for it. We received the swatch and decided to order the slip-cover. We had to pay 50% of the total price quote and submit photos of the sectional to start the process. Customer Service contacted us to confirm our order, answer any questions we had and explain the order and production process. Over the next two weeks, we took more photos and made meticulous measurements of the sectional that we used to complete the measurement forms that we were provided. We submitted the measurement forms just before Christmas - with one small 'hiccup', the automated forms did not work correctly in my email app (Apple Mail). The folks at Needle and Shears understood what had happened and began the laborious task of converting the files into usable data. I had taken the precaution of saving a copy of each form, and sent them as an attachment to a separate email. This saved uncounted hours of time. We got another phone call from Mark confirming receipt of the measurement forms and explaining the production process and what our final payment would be and how they arrived at it. We received an email confirming our phone call and our shipping desires. All we could do now was to wait for the slip-covers to be made. It took eight weeks, not counting the Christmas/New Years holidays, to receive the email stating our slip-covers were complete and waiting packaging and shipment. We noted the charge to our card and received another email with tracking info. We received the slip-covers on March 13th 2025 and installed them per the instructions in the box. A: Good question. If the cushions on your sofa are loose we would make a cover for the body and separate covers for each cushion. They would replace the existing cushion covers and there will be no shifting on the cushions or the body cover, since the cushions hold the body cover in place. However, if your cushions are attached, back and seat, the fabric will shift since the fabric can only lay on top of the cushions and there is nothing to hold it in place. The problem is reduced if only the back cushions are attached.
