It is possible to do mosaics in tile as a part of the back splash. **Q: honed granite vs polished granite** *(in Design Dilemma)* My decorator has recommended we use a honed granite in our kitchen... she states if we enhance it after we install it that fingerprints etc will be eliminated. I'm really worried about staining etc. We are going with a black countertop so the honed finish will be lighter than the polished. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!!! A: If sealed properly (some black i.e. Black Pearl take the sealer where absolute black doesn't) you should not have any problems at all with staining.
