My five sets of French doors opened onto it, so the deck literally added living space to my home. Approximately 20 feet below that deck is my pool, surrounded by a brick design, and rear rectangular wooden deck that covered the pool equipment. Over the 33 years, the rot and termites finally got the better of it and I had to have it rebuilt. > I went on Yelp, read the reviews of deck builders and interviewed three deck companies. Noa and L A Decks was by far the most knowledgeable, and truly understood what I wanted to do. The deck was to come down but the architect's drawings showed a re-designed new deck built upon the foundations of the old deck. Victor was in charge of the day to day demo and re-build. He got the permits needed and we passed each at the first inspections. He worked with my architect and over four months (Sept-Dec 2015) a new Azek deck went up with steel cable sidings. I also decided to remove the brick and pour concrete around the existing pool. The old wooden deck over the pool equipment was also replaced to match the upper deck. The contract price was competitive and each additional cost seemed appropriate. > The daily workers were excellent and if I asked them to do something, it was done. The coordination of the huge trash bins placed and removed from my driveway, over and over, went smoothly, as did the day of the concrete pool deck pouring. I would have appreciated more daily communication and I believe the project would have taken less time, if more workers had been here on a consistent basis, but as NO remodel or new build ever goes perfectly - this was pretty close.
