## Community Q&A

**Q: outdated** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are brand new homeowners and love our home. The previous owners did a great job updating the house except for our guest bathroom upstairs. Its pink,  an old toilet you have to flush twice,  poor lighting and old tile.  We love entertaining and because we have a lot of friends from our of town come and sleep over,  it's embarrassing and annoying. Please help us!

A: Take out wall tile and vanity.

**Q: Fireplace and walls** *(in Design Dilemma)*

What should I do to spruce  up the fireplace? A neutral color wall? And should I paint the black duct work in the ceiling?

A: Paint the duct work the same as the wall color so it will blend in. Stone around the fireplace will give it interest and texture .the make faux stone it face only

**Q: Need advise on picture** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I thought this would really make the room pop....but to me it doesn't flow with the fireplace. I know with the right picture I would still need some candlesticks..but I am at a loss for what kind of picture. Ugh! Help!

A: Smaller size photo on the left and a plant on the right , this will help with the ceiling

**Q: Dull and empty living room needs help** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My living room looks dull and empty. Some wall decor and area rug perhaps and some redecoration will help? Suggestions please and thank you.

A: Turn the coffee table around, take on of the end tables out. Put the plant on end of the couch. Art work and green plants, arearug

**Q: Dining room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This is the dining room I don't have any money to do this just yet possibly the Chandelier

A: Spray paint the light black/brown
