### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Adam P, Dec. 2024**

> We considered several builders in our area for a large-scale home remodel, which included multiple extensions and a detached garage. Worthington & Shagen’s proposal was by far the most thorough, and their extensive experience—backed by numerous local references—instantly instilled a high level of confidence. Throughout the project, their team provided clear guidance, meticulous attention to detail, and a transparent timeline. Their workmanship was truly outstanding, and the subcontractors they employed were in a class of their own. The final result exceeded all of our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend Worthington & Shagen to anyone looking for exceptional quality and service.

**★★★★★ — Tom Maclin, Jan. 2023**

> This was the second project that Worthington & Shagen completed for our home. This project was a complete kitchen renovation. Every step of the process was completed with every attention to detail. Especially outstanding was the work of the lead carpenter, Darryl and the behind the scenes support provided by Lisa. Chance and Steve are so well versed at every aspect of custom building that they are able to provide the tradesman, cabinet providers, granite providers and many others that were skillfully brought together to provide an unapparelled kitchen that has drawn raves from all who see it!!

**★★★★★ — Lisa, Dec. 2022**

> Absolute best in class!! Exceptional attention to detail, expert woodworking skills and above all, superior craftmanship. Our newly constructed breakfast room blends seamlessly with our 1742 Bucks County stone farmhouse-Old pine floor boards, plaster walls and deep sill windows. Stunning, absolutely stunning.

**★★★★★ — Rebecca Asplundh, Oct. 2022**

> If you are in the need for a quality builder who pays attention to detail and is responsive, look no further! Beautiful craftsmanship, excellent customer service, top notch builders!

**★★★★★ — HU-305537126, July 2022**

> In February 2022, we moved into a home built by W&S in 2005. The build quality and attention to detail is beyond anything we have ever seen. The woodwork throughout the house is cabinet-maker grade. Stonework, in and out, is old-school quality. No skimping on any detail: solid wood doors, beautiful hardware, commercial grade kitchen, reclaimed wood floors … Could go on and on. Every day we notice a new beautiful detail. The house looks brand new, despite being 17 years old. Best of all, we needed to add a wine cellar to the house. W&S built one for us in four months. It is better than our three previous cellars, the last one in Napa. Steve Shagen also has tended to various upkeep needs from plumbing to electric. Immediate service on all fronts. Lovely people to work with, from Chance, Steve and Lisa all the way to the folks who cleaned up the job site. This will be our last house, but if we were building another, W&S would build it.

**★★★★★ — Donna Levy, May 2021**

> In June of 2019, our 3-year old house was struck by lightning and needed to be demolished and rebuilt. From the beginning Worthington and Shagen were responsive and proactive. It was, therefore, an easy decision to select them to rebuild our house. We were very impressed by their professionalism and expertise. Throughout the process they went the extra mile in addressing every challenge faced including those created by the COVID 19 pandemic. The result is, we have a beautiful house that is superior to the original. The crew assigned to our project were a joy to work with and incredibly helpful. Our questions and concerns were quickly addressed and their concern for our happiness with the final result was evident. After building the same house a second time, we can honestly say that working with Worthington and Shagen is the way homebuilding should be.

**★★★★★ — Robert MYERS, Feb. 2019**

> We invested in a major house renovation to completely change our house. It involved taking out a wall, moving plumbing and electrical fixtures, a completely new kitchen with new flooring and ceiling and lighting, and complete new design, cabinets and counter tops and appliances.
> Worthington and Shagen and their team of workers were first class. They took great interest in each stage of our project, from the designing to the actual completion we felt each person on their team treated the project as they would their very own. The degree of excellence with each stage and each aspect of the project contributed to what all our friends and family regard as a stunning improvement. They also gave us a very detailed estimate for the project and came in significantly under cost, and passed all the saving along to us. We hold this company in the highest regard for their professionalism, personal interest, integrity and first class level of skill.

**★★★★★ — Solebury Design, LLC, May 2017**

> I worked with Worthington & Shagen on a residence that I designed. What sets WS apart from many builders and contractors I work with is their unfaltering involvement on a project from the very beginning in dealing with permitting and the approval process, all the way through to post-completion. Any successful project must have strong collaboration between builder, designer, and owner. This is another area where WS sets themselves apart. I particularly enjoyed the passion their finish carpenters shared with me in fine-tuning the details that set a grand home apart from the ordinary. They were up to any task. Working with Worthington and Shagen was a pleasure.

**★★★★★ — Wolstenholme Associates, LLC, Feb. 2017**

> We’ve collaborated on numerous successful projects with Worthington & Shagen Custom Builders and have always been very impressed. Their quality of work and attention to detail has given them the reputation as the premier builder in both Bucks and Northampton Counties. We’ve worked both as a design consultant to them and were also their client and I can attest that they truly put their clients first. They provide options on how to best address challenges during construction so that the homeowner never feels like they don’t have any other alternatives. If you are looking for a first rate craftsman, look no further!

**★★★★★ — Deborah Leamann, Dec. 2016**

> Worthington & Shagen are only to be considered if you want the very best. I initially worked with them on a long term renovation in 2011 thru 2013. They always grasped the design concepts and delivered a top notch product. They are sensitive to historic details and reproduction and cutting edge technology.
> Their team and management style is efficient and productive. Recently I had the pleasure to call on them again working on a historic property. Their resources and ability to provide highly skilled work has once again made working with Worthington & Shagen an extreme pleasure. I would highly recommend them for your new construction and renovation projects.

**★★★★★ — Hendrixson's Furniture, Aug. 2016**

> Hendrixson's Furniture has worked with Chance Worthington on several recent spec homes staging each with furniture worthy of the quality and craftsmanship Worthington & Shagen use in every custom build. We ultimately end up meeting and working with the proud new homeowners to provide the kind of handmade furniture and custom window treatments these homes deserve. Chance is very easy to work with and demands the best for his clients which is evident in all his work.

**★★★★★ — Deanna's Interior Designs, June 2015**

> I have had the pleasure of working with Chance Worthington and Steve Shagen in a prior design position that I held. They are extremely professional and very easy to work with. Their craftsmanship is top notch and their attention to detail is impeccable. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking to build a custom home!

son miy caros los pisos de madera que los de loseta

A: la madera es meno costosa en en los Estados Unidos.

**Q: where did you get the stones? are they natural or cultured?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where did the stone come from? Is is natural?

A: This is natural stone. Actually reclaimed from a barn that was demolished so difficult to get this exactly. Rolling Rock stone in PA can put together a similar blend of new natural stone.

**Q: Love the sconces!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you provide the make/model?

A: Sconces supplied by designer - I will email her and let you know if she can find the info.

**Q: What are the stones used for this patio and stairs? Thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love the chandelier, can you tell me who makes it and where I can purchase? A link perhaps? Thank you. Beautiful room!

A: http://www.charliesgirllighting.com

**Q: Jo1orlo@yahoo.com** *(in Photo Questions)*

Please tell me the wood used for the beams on the ceiling and stain. Thank you

A: Material is antique barn wood - In this case we took it from a barn on the property, but if you were to source from an antique woods vendor you would want "Brownboard" or "Threshing floor". No stain - cleaned with wire brush and left natural.
