**Q: floor tile** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the source for this floor tile?

A: This is Wow Band Decor in Luna. We purchased it through our regional tile wholesaler.

**Q: Where did you get the light pendants?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The client purchased these themselves and had our electrican install them.  I believe they were imported from Europe.

**Q: Ceiling** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you please tell me the height of the ceiling.  I love the beams...don't know if you could do that with 8 foot ceilings.

A: You could definitely do this with 8 foot ceilings - it would feel cozy. The picture shows a 6-8" coffered ceiling, you would want to stick with a 3-4" coffered ceiling. The ceiling shown here in the Walnut Study is 8'.

**Q: Requesting Feedback on Corner Cabinet Molding** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My cabinet installer/designer thinks I'm being too picky, but I hate the way the seams/joints line up on the moldings in the picture (at top of picture). He says that's how it has to be and it can't be fixed. I think the seams/joints should line up with the outer edge of the doors. Being my first kitchen remodel, I need guidance. Is that possible, or am I being too picky?

A: Here is what my husband who has 25 years of cabinetry/trim/framing/kitchen installation experience says.

The trim represents the true corner.  The face of the cabinet does not represent the true corner.  One of those elements has to be "dummied up" to match the other.

It may be possible to correct the problem by adjusting the sizes of the cabinet doors to line up with the miters.  Purchasing of new doors may be necessary - some minor adjustments to where the doors fall on the face frames may help to reduce the numbers of doors you need to purchase.

But his main question is, his WHO is the designer?  Your designer should have foreseen this problem and worked it out before they started building your beautiful new kitchen.  

That all being said - woman to woman - and owner of a custom kitchen.  What makes your kitchen great is the high quality work surface, backsplash, and appliances that you chose.  The little things - like what lines up with what fade into the background as you go about your daily life in your beautiful, fresh, and chic new kitchen.  What will make you happy or unhappy with your kitchen in the weeks, months and years to come is the functionality of the space. Focus on what you love - and look for the greatness in your surroundings.
