> Hiring Tessa with Hampton Redesign was the best think my husband and I could have done for selling our house in Fort Worth, Texas.  Tessa was very professional and made no judgements. She assessed our house and belongings, and helped us stage our house for selling.  Tessa used our current belongings and then add suggestions to each room if she felt necessary. With each suggestion she was able to describe what we should look for and often she was able to find it in stores near us to be purchased. Hampton Redesign was a true lifesaver for us because my husband and I were selling our home with two small children and finding the right materials was not always an easy task. I am ever so grateful for all of Tessa's help,  I only wish now she lived closer to help me decorate my new home.

**Q: size of bathroom** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you please tell me the size of the bathroom? The tub & shower look small in the photo, are they?

A: You're welcome! A garden tub is usually curved and a little wider on the long side of the tub than a traditional tub so you feel like you are getting a roomier tub in a smaller space. Picture an oval dropped into a rectangle. Hope that helps.

**Q: I love this whole room!  Can you tell me where to obtain the pieces?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Thanks for your interest! I'm happy you like the room design. The sofa was actually the builders own inventory which I worked with to stay in budget. All the other furniture was purchased from Weirs Furniture in the Dallas Fort Worth metro.

**Q: Love the bistro chairs!** *(in Photo Questions)*

I have seen several but none with this metal back like this.  Where did you get these?

A: Hi there - these are awesome aren't they? If you are in the Dallas Fort Worth area check out Weir's Furniture. That's where the dining table and chairs came from. If not, have you tried Overstock?

**Q: Stained Kitchen Cabinets - Any room for that?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

The Kitchen is part of an open layout where it leads into a Living area with a staircase leading up to a different floor.  I am going to stain the bannister a rich espresso brown and was wondering if it would not be better to do the same to the kitchen cabinets so it flows.
Should it make a difference if it is only the external oak cabinet doors and frame of the cabinets that are stained and not the whole cabinet?

The kitchen cabinets are somewhat similar in shade to this:  
This espresso brown is similar to the finish I am going for -

A: Here's one more idea. How about staining or painting the white spindles dark? That would tie in with your dark floors and your cabinets. I would consider using chalkboard paint on a smaller area and not all your cabinets. Do you have a pantry door you could paint? Or you could even try it as a backsplash. 
If you're even considering selling at some point, the chalkboard cabinets might be a negative and you have such nice solid wood now. 
Changing out your hardware to bronze will be a nice update. If you are looking for a change, I would suggest doing something creative for your backsplash instead of the cabinets.

**Q: Bike Storage?  Found a great solution?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I haven't touched my bike in ages.  Even if I wanted to, it's stored on the wall at the far end of my garage, and getting it out would be a huge pain.  Have you found a great solution for bike storage?  Separate shed? Keep it in the house? Any tips to share? 

Share your experience! (photos encouraged)

A: I think having your bike handy is a great motivator to use it. Now that I live in a condo and no longer have my attached garage, I keep mine just inside my door which is also my kitchen area. It's ready to roll out whenever the mood strikes. It doesn't hurt that my wheels are kind of cute to look at!

**Q: Color Scheme Dilemma** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I recently purchased these cube coffee tables and realized after I placed them on the rug it changed the feel of the space. It gave it the beachy feel, which I didnt realize I was going for. This is a Cape Cod home so maybe it happens naturally. Now I need a color scheme to go along with this. I don't like the decor pillows with starfish etc. on them. I prefer thin stripes or solids. And as you can see I have incorporated turquoise already but am open to other ideas. The yellow pillows were a bust. 

I feel this space needs something to help tie everything together whether it be the pillows or chaning the color of the mantel... 

 I need some professional help or someone with decor experience!!

A: Ah I love the Cape! That said, yes your tables give a different vibe to the room. They are beachy, casual and modern and your sofa and loveseat are dark and traditional. If you can't find another spot in your home for the tables, I would suggest spray painting them a deep soft french blue color and then accessorizing with large books on the bottom shelves to ground them and hide the slats. I'd also take out the orange accent pillows and bring in some larger pillows with the blue in a pattern or texture. Add one to each seating. Add some heavy candles in nice substantial holders on the top of your tables and on the mantel. I would also add a nice large accent on the hearth with blue/green. Could be a plant or something that speaks to you! Hope that gives you some ideas!
