I would not recommend Scott and his set of subcontractors for work on an older home. He and his framer installed a door with a framing nailer and cracked the frame. They had to reinstall it, so they used a trim nailer and left the frame bowed so that it wouldn’t shut properly and I had to ask to have it fixed. I still had to make additional adjustments using the appropriate screws and shims but also had to modify the latch bore because it was slightly crooked. I’m still having problems with it. Because I performed much of the finish detail and trim work, I had to find the issues. Scott implemented zero quality control. The stairs weren’t level. The cabinets weren’t level. He had the opportunity but made no effort to level the ceiling. His electrician, who was always in a rush, decided to check code and move several boxes after both sheetrock and cabinets were installed. His flooring guys damaged our brand new windows by throwing scraps at them, missing the opening. His estimates were very competitive and he recommended where we should start first. The first project involved installing new carpet and painting the whole home. Scott Hickman and his team made this process easy, including making recommendations on the choice of carpet and moving all the furniture. The second project included removing the popcorn ceilings in the whole house and painting all the rooms too. Scott Hickman does an excellent job communicating the status of the project and is very accessible. Every aspect of these projects was completed on time and on budget, and the result was beautiful. We have looked at the brick on several homes and the mortar really makes a difference with this brick. I love the look on your home.
