She then gave us a shopping list for each item for each room. We simply ordered it or went to the store to buy it. She gave us a 3D mock up of each room, so we knew exactly where to place each item. We had seen Aundra's work online and liked her style and reached out to see if she'd come take a look. We scheduled an appointment the following week and she gave us some thoughts and ideas on what to do and told us she would mock up some samples to show us. She encouraged us to find a couch and love seat that we liked and she would take care of the rest. It took my husband and I a while to settle upon something and when we did I reached out to Aundra for her thoughts. When the couch and loveseat were delivered Aundra came and took a look at it and in a couple of weeks brought me a proposed design. We loved it, and after making a few choices (this rug over that rug, this coffee table instead of that one, etc.) we approved the purchases. When the order arrived and Aundra came over and staged everything in the room we were just in awe. The whole room had been transformed--like they do on HGTV. Seriously, it was that good. We were so pleased with the work that she did and the ease of the process. We decided to hire a designer instead of staging the house ourselves in hopes of saving time and energy, but unfortunately, we spent more time and energy than expected. Aundra purchased the staging furniture, and we planned to sell it after our home sold. The purchased furniture looked great; she assembled all of it, and we were happy with the actual staging. However, when I took the furniture to an upscale furniture consignment store to sell, they discovered the skirt was not attached to the sofa, due to a missing velcro piece. Aundra had to have known this at the time when she put the sofa together, because she used the cushions to hold the skirt in place. Had we used the the sofa we would have discovered the problem. As a designer she should know sofa skirts are not held on by the cushions. Assuming Aundra would help, I messaged her to let her know of the missing velcro piece which held the skirt in place, as well as the location of the couch so she could fix the problem. Aundra said that manufacturer errors did not fall under her responsibility and gave me the sofa manufacturer's number. What am I to do with this I have no receipt of a purchase, no item number, nothing, from them. after all I purchased it from Aundra. > Surprised by her lack of accountability, I replied to confirm she would not help me, even though she assembled the furniture and therefore knew the piece was missing from the start. She confirmed and suggested I "try another route" if the consignment store would not sell the sofa. Obviously, this left me disappointed and stuck with the issue of fixing the sofa. but I cannot keep quiet about the lack of customer service and sense of responsibility.
