> I am thrilled with our new bathroom vanity. We live an old house that has less than square walls but Paul took that into account and the end result is perfect. He delivered when promised and his workmanship and attention to detail are superb. I would have no hesitation recommending his work.

> The first thing to say is that Paul is somewhat obsessive, and that leads to the second thing: nothing short of perfection is acceptable. We have renovated several houses and thus kitchens over th years and Paul Vandeborne is the best cabinetmaker that we have ever encountered. On time, on budget, every detail to our satisfaction. If you want to learn more contact me.

> Over the past 20 years Paul has worked with me on many of my high-end projects: from fine cabinetry and custom kitchens to one-of-a-kind built-ins, tables, chairs and benches. Paul’s eye for design and his attention to detail are just two of the important reasons I trust him implicitly. In a business where details and quality are paramount, Paul will consistently impress my clients with his skill and craftsmanship which always meets and often exceeds their expectations and mine.

> I work from home and had searched high and low to find a desk that met my functional needs that didn't look hideous and fit my space. Paul designed me a beautiful desk that I absolutely love. He also gave my old TV cabinet a new lease on life. Paul is great to work with and was spot on with his time and cost estimates.

> We were introduced to Paul by our interior designer, he was highly recommended and he didn't disappoint! The minute we met Paul we knew he was a true professional. He was able to arrange meetings around our busy schedule and it was immediately clear he understood our vision. Our primary project was a renovation of the ten year old kitchen in our newly acquired home. The result was nothing short of amazing! Paul was able in incorporate many unique design and finishing features that made our kitchen truly special. We had just bought this home and we had tight timelines to complete the renovation and Paul competed his work on time and on budget. Paul is an old world craftsman with an eye for detail, his standards are extremely high and beyond expectations. We cannot say enough about what a positive experience we have had with Paul and how happy we are that our kitchen is the focal point of our home.

> I've had the pleasure of working with Paul on several projects and each time the result has exceeded expectations, which were high to begin with! Paul's fine design sense for proportion and material, along with his gentle, knowledgeable and easy to work with personality combine to ensure a high quality product and a customer who feels very comfortable with the process. I have engaged Paul to build cabinets and furniture for my clients and for my own home and Paul has always delivered on time and on budget. I would recommend Paul to anyone interested in beautifully crafted, thoughtfully designed woodwork.

> In need of custom work on a short deadline, our office reached out to Paul for the job. He was able to fit us into his busy schedule and design cabinets and storage that fit in with the existing fixtures. The final install went beyond my expectations for quality and design. Paul was able to bring to life the ideas I had in my head and make them even better. Whenever I have another project or someone is looking for quality craftsmanship, Paul will be the first person I turn to. Thanks for the great service and work.

> Paul Vandeborne has an unbelievable talent in creating the most extraordinary pieces of furniture, cabinetry and other fine woodworking projects to dynamically bring a room together like I have rarely seen before.
>
> Everything is unique, bespoke and masterful in its artistry. Paul creates a room of art made of wood and other materials. There are extremely few of Paul's calibre.
>
> If you want the best, give Paul a hint of what you are looking for and then let him create art before your eyes.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What paint colour did you use?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What paint colour was used?

A: Sorry I do not have information on the paint colours in this room. We only did the cabinetry work in this kitchen.

**Q: What is the measurements of this cabinet?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Measurement and price?

A: 36" wide vanity. Prices vary since all cabinetry is custom designed and build. Vanity similar to this would be in the range of $3500.00 - 4500.00 depending on finish and material.

**Q: Undersink pull out garbage** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello Paul,

My husband and I would really really like a pull out garbage under our kitchen sink but our cabinet maker has no idea how do this for us. Can you give us any tips on how you accomplished this?

Thanks!

Sara

A: This cabinet is fairly wide so there was room to put 1 drawer on either side of the plumbing. The cabinet interior is deeper than most standard ones so I had room to instal deep drawers (about 26" deep). for standard depth cabinets you may be able to fit 2 medium sized bins in each drawer. The slides are Blum undermount that have a soft closing feature. They use very little space because they are mostly under the drawer box and out of the way. The drawers are dovetailed maple but you could make them out of baltic birch or melamine just like any other drawer box. I prefer using drawer boxes verses special pullout systems because they (drawer boxes) are easier to instal, easier to adjust and tend to be more reliable. They are less prone to be knocked out of adjustment even when compared to expensive pullout systems which i find difficult to adjust and sometimes can operate rougher and more sloppy then the soft closing slides. I can also attach the door to the drawer box securely like a drawer front so it is one motion to access the garbage. if you line the bottom of the drawer with a plastic liner it will be easier to keep clean. The cabinet maker or you can source the containers from your local hardware store or building centre. I prefer to source the bins myself as a cabinetmaker because I know what my clearances are inside the drawer, behind the drawer and above the drawer. One site I like to shop at is Richelieu Hardware but you will need an account to order from them or to view prices. Ideally the water lines and drain should come out of the wall through the back of the cabinet. It takes some planning because the plumber needs room to instal the water lines and drain along with the sink. If your kitchen is tight for storage under the sink pullouts are the best solution for utilizing every square inch of storage.
