When I visited him, I was astounded by the conditions of the room he rented with five other buddies from UCLA, so I asked Christie Carmelle, a designer friend of my son to help me redesign the room.  He needed a storage space most of all.  Christie worked with Mike to discover his wall color and furniture preferences.  Within a couple weeks, walls were painted, carpet cleaned, furniture assembled, curtains hung.  The room was transformed from college mania to a sleek, cool gray/blue design with lots of concealed storage for clothing and all his guy stuff.  Christie worked within my budget and even let me make decisions on furniture items from my home computer. Christie has before and after pictures of the room conversion. hi! can you share info about the wall covering please?

A: @hotmomlife, of course!  The company is called Fliepaper: http://www.fliepaper.com/main/ and they do digital prints.  The wallpaper itself is printed in a non-traditional way, so installation can be challenging, but in my opinion, it's worth the effort for an amazing "submersed" look.

The rug is actually comprised of carpet tiles from FLOR.  Let me know if you have any more questions!

**Q: The carpet what if it rains?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the hues but never seen carpet used on the outdoor so please tell me more about this.

A: Hi!  Thanks for the question.  While most carpet tiles aren't advertised for "outdoor" application because they are non-permeable (meaning they have a rubber backing on the bottom), it really depends on the application.  In this case, this particular deck receives a lot of sunshine and little rain, so any moisture is immediately dried out by the sun.  The added measure I took to ensure the tiles wouldn't get soaked, is I did not glue or tape them down or tape them to each other.  In this way, all my client would need to do is pick them up and set them on their side to dry out.  I would avoid placing the carpet tiles over storm drains, however.  Be sure water can run off the sides of any deck or patio application.
