First , I went with Kaz construction though they were the highest priced because they did work in my neighborhood. They started out by destroying a downspout on my roof and i explained to them that i wanted that but back after completion but it was all bent. Dave the manager said he thought i was getting all new gutters i told him i was not and he then looked at the order form and said sorry. During the installation they destroyed two railings on my deck, three gutters, half my maple tree, lights, decorative rock, scrapped my siding with shingles because the tarps they were using were all torn and shredded. The lead foreman on the job was very disrespectful , he accused me of going into his company vehicle and stealing. I was in shock, he then told me to go back in my house because he wanted to fight me. Then he started swearing at me , my wife inside herd everything he said and she was about to call the police. I then went inside and called the company and talked to VP Ray West who also could not believe what has happened and sent the manager back to my house. The manager said that the lead foreman would not talk to him but had a migraine and there almost done. VP Ray west came to my house the next morning as requested by me. They provided me with new gutters and fixed one railing that now does not match. Very professional. Will hire them again. **★★★★★ — Chris Bauer, March 2016** > These guys are very responsive and professional. I hired them to do an exterior wall repair where it was leaking. The vinyl siding, brick facade and garage gutter all converged on a single point that wasn't originally constructed or repaired properly. They idendified the issue, walked me through what we might find, and now I don't have any issues. They did great work. **★ — mulbie, Feb. 2016** > Hired KAZ do a small shower project which involved replacing the wallboard and tile. They promised it would take two, maybe three days which was important as it was our only bath in the house. We were also worried about construction dust with our new baby, so they ensured us they would take steps to keep dust out of the rest of the house. Well, the smooth-talking, sincere-sounding salesman was way off. They sent one guy to do the job, who may have been a subcontractor as he drove his own van and did not wear KAZ uniform. The project took over ten days during which time we had to bathe in the kitchen sink. The "dust control" was a thin piece of plastic that didn't ever cover the doorway, so needless to say we had dust throughout the entire house. The construction itself was subpar. The employee left a finger-width gap between the blue boards he hung and never used a membrane or sealer which is fairly standard industry-wide. The employee complained the whole time and did not treat our property well. He dumped the mortar and grout waste out back into the snow on our patio which we didn't know about until the snow melted in the spring and the patio was stained with piles of grit. Additionally, even though the employee knew we had a baby in the house, he left several containers of toxic chemicals (pvc cement, cleaner, etc.) on the floor with the lids off or loose, right were our baby could get to them. Since the job was completed, we found a cracked tile and the grout runs black every time the shower gets cleaned. We complained but were told it was fine when the job was completed. Oh, and the employee left a pair of boots and his radio behind which we were asked to return to KAZ when we "brought the check". I would never use KAZ again and strongly advise against anyone else using them. **Comment from Kaz Home Improvements:** > Thank you for the feedback, this is very unfortunate and unusual for us to hear. Because the project was about 6 years ago, it is difficult for us to take care of this now. Our reputation is very important to us, if we were contacted while the project was being completed or after completion, we would have address your concerns. **★★★★★ — Jim Petty, Feb. 2016** > KAZ did a beautiful job of siding our 84 year old Cape Cod with Certainteed siding. We worked with the project manager who helped us in chose the right products and who also offered design ideas. The KAZ crew was friendly, professional and courteous and took extra measures to ensure our yards and gardens were protected. At the end of each day another crew came to clean up. Once, on a particularly windy day, a piece of siding blew off. We called and they promptly sent someone to repair it and we haven't had a problem since.
