Collaboration, integrity and craftsmanship are Pinemar’s hallmarks. We experienced this again in 2015 when Pinemar did extensive remodeling of several first floor rooms that posed challenging carpentry, plumbing, ventilation and electrical issues. Kyle Lissack (builder) and Mike Castiglione (foreman) are exceptional to work with. I was very involved in our project from "start to finish" and I truly appreciated their thoroughness to detail. Over the course of the two year project Kyle, Mike and myself met weekly along with the subcontractors. This collaboration allowed for a smooth building process. They did an extensive renovation on an old stone house for us that involved virtually every aspect of the house and grounds, including a new roof and gutters, masonry repairs, a complete kitchen renovation, an addition to the house, upgraded electrical/plumbing/HVAC, all new bathrooms, paint/wallpaper, French drains/storm-water management, new stone patio, etc. They were knowledgeable, responsive, conscientious (especially to our neighbors), and best of all, they communicated well throughout the project - even after it was complete to make sure all punch list items were addressed quickly. I have since recommended Pinemar to a relative, who recently hired them for a renovation and had an equally-positive experience. I can't say enough about how wonderful the experience was. I recently renovated a 6000 square foot brownstone in Center City Philadelphia. It was a complete gut job. And it took extreme creativity to create the house I wanted. From installing a new elevator, to unforeseen foundational and structural work, to installing an endless pool in a basement, to finding the right carpenter to remake historic folding shutters, Pinemar did everything perfectly. The finishes are extraordinary. And the subcontractors were professional and courteous. They managed to do extreme work in a really tight space, and the neighbors all said it was the best experience they have ever had with a renovation. Throughout the process, Kyle kept me up to date on everything going on. The site supervisor, Mike, was extraordinary in his problem solving and dedication. And when movers scratched some of the paint, Pinemar was back the next day to repair. We chose Pinemar from among several bidders to do the work, largely because Kyle presented a clear and detailed explanation of the process, timetable and costs accompanied by an impressive portfolio of prior jobs. We were initially apprehensive, this being our first major home renovation project, but our concerns were soon allayed when work started on schedule and progressed smoothly. The many crews and subcontractors involved were courteous and professional. Their efforts were well supervised and coordinated and their work regularly inspected by Kyle or his associate. He communicated with us regularly, so we were informed about progress and next steps. At one point, a serious unanticipated problem arose from a previously undetected fault in the initial construction of our house, which (very unfortunately) was not built by Pinemar. Company staff rapidly developed and efficiently implemented a definitive fix for the problem, which allowed renovation work to soon continue and finish almost on schedule. Disruption of our lives and routines by construction work was kept at a minimum and greatly reduced by efficient execution of our project. In the end, we were so much more than compensated by the spectacular outcome of the renovation. We cannot overstate Pinemar’s excellent workmanship and attention to detail, which produced a most beautiful and functional new space that exceeded our expectations and has been admired repeatedly by family and friends. Now five years on, we continue to appreciate and enjoy the result of Pinemar’s renovation and can state truthfully that we’ve not seen, even with 20/20 hindsight, any issues with their work. It is a traditional 3 coat stucco system. We were intentionally going for a very rustic look and so if you get up close to it, the trowel marks are evident.
