He completely understood the concept of what we wanted our house to look like and how we wanted it to function and that our goal was to remodel the entire house plus add an addition that would allow us to fully enjoy our dream of living on a lake. Depending on the space he was designing (ie Bathroom, kitchen) he would provide us with 2 or 3 options and was always willing to talk through each one the ideas. Throughout the entire construction Jesse was very hands on and we had great two way open communication about all aspects of the design. He listened to all the different idea's that we had and worked to incorporate them in the house and in most cases came up with something even better. He always made himself available to us if there were ever any questions we had about the design or changes we thought we wanted to make. This was a very difficult project as we were merging the old with the new and he never backed down from any of the challenges we encountered! I would definitely say the project was a success. We get many compliments from our neighbors and friends on how great the house looks. Most people don't realize that their voices carry on the lake so it's fun when we are sitting outside enjoying the lake and listening to the compliments we get about the aesthetic of the house. I've heard many people say that the 3rd house you build will be perfect, and after living in our house over 1 year there is nothing I would change. This photo shows a mix of 3'-0"W x 6'-0"H operable casement windows with 18"H transoms. Above are 2'-6"W x 2'-6"H fixed clerestory windows. There is also a 6'-0"W x 6'-0"H fixed picture window to capture lake views. On the right side of the photo there is a 3-panel sliding patio door with a transom that leads out to an expansive deck. The windows are a fiberglass frame product called Utrex from the Integrity line of Marvin Windows & Doors. Fiberglass frames have excellent performance for the expansion and contraction of materials, as well as excellent durability and scratch resistance. The glazing spec is an insulated glass system with the 366 LoE option for higher energy performance. Window trim is a custom millwork installation and is painted white to match the Stone White color that was selected for the window frames.
