**★★★★★ — Fredrick Chiu, March 2022**

> We had the pleasure of working with Jennifer on a 2nd floor extension for our home. She was extremely attentive and her attention to detail every step of the way kept us at ease at all times. We would recommend Jennifer for her fresh design, extrodinary vision and hard work as she also always made sure we were within budget for any changes along the way. We are extremely happy we chose Jennifer to be our full service Architect.

**Comment from Jennifer Turner Architect:**

> Thank you so much Fredrick. Working with both you and Helen was very enjoyable. I am so happy you are enjoying your new home.

**★★★★★ — L. Connell, May 2018**

> We met Jennifer in 2014 after buying a duplex that we planned on converting into a single family home. She was the architect of our best friends' home and we'd long admired her work.
> Her process is very organic - she really designs spaces for the people you are and how you want to use it, not some far-off version of yourself. She had amazing ideas of how to bring light in, how to create a feeling of expansion throughout the home. She brought in a fantastic contractor - Lincoln Stevens - and they were a fabulous combination. Each a true artist and meticulously detailed and true to their word. But Jennifer is also compassionate and great on her feet. When we decided ( after the design and permits were in) - that we were getting separated but wanted to keep the house, Jennifer threw herself into design overdrive, while offering emotional triage, and revised the plans entirely- redirecting the Hvac, swapping bathrooms, adding a second kitchen, dealing with several structural nightmares. She turned it into a beautiful and light-filled duplex for both of us to live in separately. Jennifer worked miracles and the home she created - the two homes, really - were bright, gorgeous, and modern without ever being cold. The materials - slate, oak, black veined marble and high gloss cabinetry were warmed up with pops of deep orange and saffron that we still love to this day. Highly recommend.

**Comment from Jennifer Turner Architect:**

> Thank you so much Lindsey. I was a great project to work on!

**★★★★★ — Mary Ann Kelly, Feb. 2018**

> When I decided to downsize and sold my house, I bought an older apartment which was a bit pokey and fairly dark. To top it off, many of the walls were supporting or contained risers so could not be removed. Despite these limitations, Jennifer designed a beautiful, modern and bright space. Her ability to bring the light in was amazing. She supervised the renovation work, kept me informed through the process, adjusted design to meet my needs and her fee was more than reasonable. She took me shopping for fixtures, appliances and stone and got me the best prices. The project came in on time and on budget. I love my apartment and found Jennifer to be professional, helpful and very talented.

**Comment from Jennifer Turner Architect:**

> Thanks very much Mary Ann. I am so glad you are happy in your new home!

**★★★★★ — User, Feb. 2018**

> From a design perspective, Jennifer has an exceptional understanding of space, light and working within an existing envelope. From an administrative perspective, she is thorough, professional, organized and on schedule. We would not work with anyone else.

**Comment from Jennifer Turner Architect:**

> Thanks very much Jennifer. I look forward to working together again in the future.

**★★★★★ — Brenda Hoffert, Feb. 2018**

> We had the pleasure of working with Jennifer Turner on a recent kitchen renovation. She designed an ingenious overhaul of the space that incorporated our old cupboards with new counters, backsplash, appliances and lighting. The result was a cost effective do-over that had all the wow factor we were looking for. She brought the project in under budget and right on time. We couldn't have asked for a better work experience and highly recommend her for any design work that you're considering. Jennifer is equally adept at designing outdoor spaces and we'll be working with her this summer on a redesign of our garden.

**Comment from Jennifer Turner Architect:**

> Thanks very much Brenda. I look forward to working together again soon!

**★★★★★ — Atsuko Kobasigawa, Feb. 2018**

> I have worked with Jennifer Turner on four different projects -- twice for our house and twice for our office.
>
> We met because of a gorgeous salad at a potluck dinner. It wasn't just the colours; each component of the dish was prepared with precision. Why were the red peppers cut into perfect cubes? I liked her right away. When I found out that she was an architect, we set up an appointment to discuss all the things that I wanted to change in our home.
>
> For our first renovation in 2007, we didn't know what to expect but Jennifer was clear with detailing the budget and timelines and finding a reliable contractor. Any changes to the plan that were made along the way came with written revised change orders. In addition to the design, Jennifer helped us navigate the City of Toronto's Committee of Adjustment and oversaw the entire construction process. We extended and remodeled the kitchen, powder room, second-floor washroom and added a master bedroom above the kitchen. The project was completed on schedule, and more than 10 years later, we are still very happy with the renovation.
>
> The second project with Jennifer was for our office in 2008. We had to gut the main floor of the building to accommodate 8 workstations and a meeting room. She took care of the design but I thought that I could oversee the construction process because it seemed straightforward and we were dealing with the same contractor who had just completed our home renovation. The lesson that I took away from this project was that I didn't ever want to be the person dealing directly with the contractor or the city inspector.
>
> In 2014, Jennifer designed a new façade for our office as part of the city's Façade Improvement Project. This time, we hired Jennifer to design, find a suitable contractor and oversee the construction. I was much happier with this arrangement, and we are really happy with the results. We had one small problem. We noticed that the hardware for our sliding doors didn't work as smoothly as we thought it should but we put up with it for a couple years. When I mentioned this to Jennifer in passing, she came to the office and showed me how contractor never installed the tracks that she had specified in her plans. Jennifer quickly contacted her supplier and found someone to do a proper installation. It is reassuring that I can contact Jennifer for help two years after a project is finished.
>
> Our most recent project with Jennifer Turner was to design a new porch for the house in 2016. We thought that this would be an easy renovation (just a porch!) but the approval process was lengthy, with a presentation at the Committee of Adjustment, applying for Tree Protection for trees on our property and the neighbouring properties, and consulting with an arborist to ensure that the trees wouldn't be injured. It was great to have Jennifer's expert advice and support, especially during this stage. Once again, she sourced the contractor and oversaw the construction process. The porch is now clean and beautiful, with an integrated garbage/recycling bin garage and a place to hang wet umbrellas. Inside, we added a bright foyer with a coat closet. This project was finished on schedule, and we can't be happier.
>
> I keep working with Jennifer because she is an excellent communicator who listens to her clients. She is transparent, honest, and very fair in her pricing. Invoices are itemized in detail and her office is efficient and organized. She is a highly skilled professional who knows the value she can bring to a project.

**Comment from Jennifer Turner Architect:**

> Thanks so much Atsuko for your kind words. It was always a pleasure working with you. I am proud of the results and happy that they continue to bring you joy!

**★★★★★ — Audra Zuckerman, Feb. 2018**

> We have used Jennifer Turner Architect for multiple projects since 1999, including an initial build out of a city loft plus renovations as our family grew and needs changed; a master plan and original renovation of a home outside the city, including all interior and landscape design; a tennis court and gym addition; a subsequent house renovation; and a pool house renovation. We keep returning because Jennifer is incredibly talented and does beautiful work. Jennifer provides the full package--compelling, innovative, modern architecture, stunning and warm interior design, and landscape design to tie it all together. Her eye for color is unmatched. She is a genius at designing a kitchen for people who actually cook. She listens to and incorporates the client's needs and wishes. She is an absolute pleasure to work with. We love our homes and are incredibly grateful for JTA's beautiful design.

**Comment from Jennifer Turner Architect:**

> Thanks so much Audra. Working with you and Mitch is a great pleasure!

**★★★★★ — Beth Kaplan, Feb. 2018**

> I hired Jennifer after a devastating fire wiped out the ground floor of my house. The kitchen, living room and basement had to be re-imagined. Though Jennifer and I have very different personal styles - I homey and cluttered and she sleek and minimalist - she understood exactly what I wanted and not only designed it perfectly, she added her own touches that made it all better, including specially designed and made cabinets that transform the space. Besides being 100% functional, my kitchen is full of light and absolutely beautiful; the whole ground floor living space is admired by everyone who walks in. She designed an elegant basement apartment for me as well. I could not be happier with Jennifer's work.

**Comment from Jennifer Turner Architect:**

> Thanks so much Beth! It is always a great joy to hear that your space continues to work for you so well.
