> Melissa is a delight to work with, offering creative ideas, product knowledge, and patience. She and the Kenwood team know how to communicate with the homeowner. We highly recommend Melissa to work on projects.

**Comment from Melissa Sakell, CKBD:**

> Thank you so much! It was a true pleasure working with and getting to know you and Linda throughout the process.

**★★★★★ — kendradarnell, Jan. 2019**

> Loved working with Melissa. She was extremely thorough and very detailed oriented. It was a pleasure to work with her and her Input helped me achieve my vision. Thrilled with the outcome of my project!

**★★★★★ — S Allen, Jan. 2019**

> Melisaa was awesome to work with. When it came to design she was spot on. She listened to our wants and must haves and came up with a detailed design that was every bit what we had envisioned. And we love the quality of our Wood-Mode custom cabinets. The project was flawless from start to installation. We highly recommend Melissa and Kenwood Kitchens.

**★★★★★ — Pam Roth, July 2018**

> Melissa has great attention to detail, and an eye for putting materials together. When we went to our first design consultation, she had a selection of tile, hardware, cabinet woods, and counter tops for us. We looked at her combination and just said "Yes!". All of this. Her plan was so cohesive and she brought the floorpan that we wanted to life. During the construction process, she was fully informed on the progress and was there to answer questions and troubleshoot the inevitable glitches. (like when our backsplash tile was delayed by the store for 6 weeks). We are so happy with our kitchen - it is a dream come true.

**★★★★★ — Laila Marzouk, June 2018**

> We were so happy to find Melissa at Kenwood Kitchens. She is so talented and easy to communicate with. When I described in general terms the look I was going for she would immediately show me samples that fit the bill (we had eight different areas in need of cabinets). In addition she suggested practical design features that made the function of the cabinetry so much better. She is absolutely top notch.

**★★★★★ — Jackie A, Feb. 2018**

> It was a pleasure working with Melissa on the design for our kitchen renovation. She is easy to work with, very professional, and knowledgeable. Melissa had great ideas and suggestions to make our kitchen everything we wanted it to be. We love our new kitchen!

**★★★★★ — Cathy Callard, Jan. 2018**

> I enjoyed working with Melissa Mueller on my small bathroom renovation, truly appreciated her listening skills and attention to detail. She along with Kenwood's resources were very professional, knowledgeable and met my timeframe. I would highly recommend them and look forward to another project with them.

**★★★★★ — Kara Martinez, June 2017**

> Melissa is fantastic. My husband and I wandered into Kenwood Kitchens on a whim one rainy spring afternoon and were fortunate enough to meet Melissa. We spoke with her about our ideas for a kitchen remodel but weren't sure if we wanted to build out or stay within the confines of our existing space. Melissa listened to us and came up with three options for us to consider. We opted to stick with the existing space and Melissa worked with us patiently on our MANY tweaks to the layout (my husband is an architect so he had many thoughts!). She helped me with my indecisiveness on cabinet finishes and counter tops and kept us informed on schedules. Her schedule and budget were right on and she addressed any issues (there weren't many) right away. I would highly recommend Melissa and will be calling her when I'm ready to do a bathroom remodel. I've attached some before and after shots.

**★★★★★ — Donna Mueller, May 2017**

> Melissa gave me the kitchen I have always desired. She listened to my wants/desires and came up with a plan to fit within my budget. Everything was handled professionally and within the estimated time frame. Would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a new kitchen/ bath in the near future

**★★★★★ — agnescobbum, June 2016**

> Melissa was great to work with on the kitchen and bath cabinets for our new home. She was extremely helpful explaining the various types of cabinets (who knew there were so many), assisting in selecting the door style to fit me, and extremely patient as it took me forever to select the right "white" to go with my granite. Most importantly, Melissa was there for the measuring and worked with the builder to ensure they were properly installed. She really put a lot of thought into how the fume hood trim work matched up with the ceiling trim, which was not an easy to do task. I recommend Melissa as a fantastic, interested, and patient kitchen and bath designer - her efforts and eye really show through in our kitchen.

**★★★★★ — nlbenz, May 2016**

> Melissa was a fabulous designer to work with from start to finish! We totally remodeled our kitchen to include removing walls and expanding into a larger space. Melissa was with us every step of the way to make sure ALL bases were covered. She is knowledgeable, sharp, and committed. She always delivered on-time--that was quite a big deal with not having a kitchen for 8+ weeks with a family of 6! I would definitely recommend working with Melissa as well as Kenwood Kitchens and I would use them for future projects should they come up.

## Community Q&A

**Q: I love the tile on the walls** *(in Photo Questions)*

What tile is this?

A: Thanks Laura! The client picked the exact color but it is Lunada Bay Tile, they have a wide selection of colors and formats. I highly recommend them! If you are in the Baltimore/Washington area I would be happy to give you some dealers that carry it.

**Q: kitchen cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you please share the make of kitchen cabinets?

A: Hey Ayelet, Of course! They are WoodMode Cabinetry in a High Gloss Nordic White Finish on the back wall and Horizontal Grain Volcanic Sand Laminate on the island and range top wall. Let me know if you have any other questions!

**Q: Any details on hardware and floor stain? Before and after is great!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you! The hardwood was a custom stain selected by the homeowner and the cabinetry hardware is the Top Knobs Transcends Podium collection in the Sable finish. Hope that helps!

**Q: Very beautiful! What style cabinets are these and what finish?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you! They are WoodMode Cabinetry, the doorstyle is Edgemont Recessed and the finish used are Vintage Nordic White and Vintage Slate

**Q: wall color** *(in Photo Questions)*

what is the wall color?

A: Hey Constance, it is Sherwin Williams Breezy, SW 7616

**Q: Can you grade the tile and grout work?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My friend doesnt seem its THAT bad. Since Im paying for it, I think its a bit sloppy.
I asked the contractor about it and he blamed me for picking these tiles and the house itself.

A: I agree with the comment above, it’s not terrible, not great...I would definitely not work with that contractor again if that’s how it was handled. I am sorry you had a bad experience! I think the tiles themselves are pretty though, love the color and layout choices.
