I need some design ideas for the exterior of this home I just bought. The home is a mix of Traditional Stucco and Dryvit which I am planning to remove. I haven't decided which way I'm leaning as of yet for design, but would love the feed back! Interior posts will follow soon as well! A: I totally agree! Gorgeous home. I love the beams in the terrace out back! The only thing I see in the picture that "might" be a concern is the tile on the lower patio. The installation seems to "hang over the foundation" and if this is a new technique, I am unfamiliar with it. I just might check it out to be sure it's not going to crack over time. Otherwise, like Abby, move in and enjoy! **Q: Help! Need to improve curb appeal..** *(in Design Dilemma)* I'd love some advice to improve this home's curb appeal, please.. :) thanks! A: I love this house! As mentioned above, a good power washing of the driveway and roof would do a world of good. I like the color of the house, but might consider a darker color on ALL of the trim, including the side deck and a NEW front door .I like the idea of house numbers on the chimney. I would landscape around a NEW mailbox, carrying the new bed up the driveway a bit to camouflage the uneven concrete. If the garage door is on the list to replace, I would keep it the same color as the house, but replace it with something that has windows. Some nice draperies, table and lamp in the large window would warm it up a bit, too. If and when it is in the budget, I would have the whole yard re-landscaped. This is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, it will sparkle again! **Q: how would you decorate this bathroom?** *(in Design Dilemma)* we are moving into a new condo and i do not know what to do with this bathroom.all i can see is paint it gray,add a chandelier maybe...i need inspiration! A: According to a gallery owner in Birmingham, AL, oils work great in bathrooms. I would find a gallery near you and purchase a gorgeous oil in an abstract and hang it over the tub. I would pull colors from that to accessorize with towels, rugs, etc. I've had one hanging in my bath for 2 years and LOVE it. If you prefer primary colors I'd choose something like the first one. Otherwise I like the second one.. Both are from http://www.greatbigcanvas.com/. **Q: My finished foyer! Before, after and inspiration** *(in Before & After)* Rate my space! My first project A: I like your dark fixtures and paint as well. Unless the commode is not functioning properly, I see no reason for that expense. I would consider changing out the sink and counter top, add artwork, towels and an accessory or two. Ignore the gold finishes in the photo, but I like the finish on the cabinet and the placement of the mirror above the sink, as well as the marble counter with the dark finish faucet. This photo was on Houzz by Trey McKinney Designs. **Q: Need help with a Backsplash.** *(in Design Dilemma)* Granite is Uba Tuba. A: The pictures I uploaded were examples only. Since your granite is black I think the contrasting colors in the picture I originally sent would be awesome with black granite. I wouldn't have combined the colors in the picture either. Much to busy, but I like that particular style backsplash with your granite. Angel18432 is right, getting samples to look at in your kitchen will give you a much better perspective. I love the pictures! Send more of your samples and we'll all vote! **Q: Need help with small den** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am thinking of one wall a darker paint. Which wall should I paint darker? Also any ideas for new furniture? A: Wow! I went to walk my dog and came back to awesomeness! Love the striped vase with the picture!!!
