I got everything right on except the Master Shower - I did not do a good job with the "mud pan" and was forced to remodel! I decided I would do things right this time and leave it to the pros so I asked around and East Coast Tile kept coming up as the right company for both Commercial and Residential work. ECT's prices were substantially (and I mean substantially) less than other competing bathroom remodel companies. I ended up performing the demolition of the existing Master Shower, replaced the subflooring, reframed to add in a "Shelf" and "Bench", installed an Acrylic pan, installed the Hardie Backer Board, and waterproofed the walls with 3 coats of RedGard. I then purchased the tile from ECT. Renee and Dave were both extremely helpful in the showroom and let us take samples home and assisted us with selecting grout colors, accent tiles, etc. > > The last part of the project was tile installation which ECT completed as well - their field crews were fantastic! Dave scheduled the work and we only had to wait around 4 to 6 weeks to get the crews lined up. The field crew worked their butts off for 2 straight days (I have a large shower with lots of angles and cuts) and were extremely thorough. I was extremely impressed with their field installers - these guys were spanish workers and really knew what they were doing and were extremely meticulous, led by Mark who was their field supervisor. > > Overall fantastic experience - I was initially quoted around $15k and $20k for the Master Shower remodel by local competing companies. When we chose a fairly new shower valve system for our shower, they initiated researching its requirements and the installation process and were completely ready when it was time to be installed. The quality of the work of the tile men and plumber (who they provided) was excellent! At the end of every day of construction, they cleaned up after themselves and we felt they showed great respect for our home and for this project.
