> It's the ONLY thing that has worked on our shower doors!!! I absolutely would recommend them to anyone who is struggling with hard water stained shower doors!!!

**Comment from Diamon-Fusion International:**

> Thank you so much, Anne! We're so pleased our product worked for you, thanks again for the recommendation!

> Ok, so I read through the entire forum dedicated to removing stubborn hard water stains from a shower door. In this post, people recommended a number of things and I tried nearly all (toothpaste, mixing CLR with BarKeepers Friend, Hydrogen Per with Vinegar, and DFI). I tried the DFI product and literally watched about 3 years of water stains disappear before my eyes. I used the powered one btw (Glass Rescue). Everything else worked fairly well but none of the others fully removed the stains with such ease.

> Hard water stains have been an utter plague for me in East Texas. The municipal water leaves residue and staining on nearly anything and everything it touches. From the glass and counter surfaces in the bathroom, to the kitchen, to the car, to home windows etc. Until recently, this has become a war in which I have spent loads of money and suffered great frustration and disappointment. The discovery of DFI hard water stain remover has been nothing less than MIRACULOUS ! This sounds like a crappy infomercial, but it’s absolutely unbelievable. It comes in a powder form and a super concentrate liquid. Both remove the hardened scale with almost no effort. This stuff ranks higher with me than WD-40 on the list of astonishing substances. Don’t mention this stuff to people you don’t like. I have not tried it, but DFI also produces a hydrophobic glass protectant that is said to resist staining to begin with. I’m definitely going to buy it. I haven’t been compensated by anyone to make these comments.

> Wow! I saw DFI Glass Restore mentioned in a blog post here regarding impossible to remove hard water stains on glass shower doors. I've tried for years, to no avail. I contacted the company, and asked if they could send me a sample. They have great customer service, and sent me a free sample right away. I used the product (NO HARD SCRUBBING NEEDED) and got fantastic results! Where has this product been all my life?! Glad I know about it now! My glass shower doors look 100% better w/ only 5 minutes of work! Glad I saw this product mentioned on Houzz.

> Used the maintenance kit. Worked great. The cleaning solution and scrub pad removed 100 percent of the build up. They look brand new. Customer service was spot on awesome. Responded immediately to all email inquiries, even off normal business hours. They are extremely engaged.

> Our company has worked with Diamon - Fusion International for several years. We have found their products to be superior among the "surface protection" products and we have used them all. Customer service is top notch! Very professional. We would highly recommend this company and their products!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Best way to keep shower glass clean?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Do you have any tips or tricks to keeping shower glass sparkling and presentable?

Share your tips! (photos encouraged)

A: @ Ivana Djurovic
The only difference between using vinegar and water as opposed to a water repellent coating is that it's one and done with the latter option. Whereas with the former, you'll likely have to keep on repeating the process.

**Q: Diamon-Fusion vs ShowerGuard** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I've been shopping for a shower enclosure and several shower and mirror shops are recommending one of these glass treatments, are they worth the extra money? Is one treatment type better than the other?
Thanks

A: Hi @HU-607457427,
Thank you for your inquiry! If you send us an email at customerservice@diamonfusion.com, we would be more than happy to help you with your request. Please mention this Houzz post in the subject line as well for reference.

Best,
The DFI Team

**Q: Does anyone have experience with or preference for either Diamond Fusion or Guardian ShowerGuard glass sealants for shower enclosures? How well do they stand up? repel water? maintenance? thanks** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Does anyone have experience with or preference for either Diamond Fusion or Guardian ShowerGuard glass sealants for shower enclosures? How well do they stand up? repel water? maintenance? thanks

A: ANNEDC and hlupu I hope you will read this post from another similar string so you can see what wasn't said about our coatings. Ironwood Builders, I agree it sounded fair but it would only truly be fair if it were accurate.

I would like to shed some light on many of the comments made here as there is a lot of inaccurate info thrown about that needs to be corrected. We are DFI, the manufacturer and patent holder for Diamon-Fusion coatings.

The representative from Guardian stated that they need a detector to know if the coating is there. This is not the case with DFI coatings because they make the water so repellent that it acts like mercury, so it is obvious and visible with the water. Many of DFI's customers have the coating applied to both sides of the glass so knowing which side to put in is not critical but another way to know is to simply feel it.

WE offer a lifetime warranty on more than water repellent feature. Because we are a true thin film unlike their coating, we give a lifetime warranty against cracking, chipping, peeling, hazing and yellowing of the coating as well.

Treating the glass with our coatings fills in those pores so many of you have mentioned about untreated glass, so it feels MUCH slicker to the touch. The argument about corrosion vs water repellent resistance is not taking into account what actually occurs in a shower. Because glass treated with our coating is much more repellent, most of the water that carries the minerals that cause the milky white look is not on the glass long enough to do the damage AND because we fill in the pores, like a non stick pan in your kitchen, any spots that do remain come off easily with any cleaners.

The reason Guardian sends out a technician to check their coating if there is a problem is because they CAN"T as far as we know send a repair kit. It has to be done in a factory and can't be repaired in the field. Ours can be done at factories in chambers or hand applied in the field which is why it can be maintained to never in effect wear out.

Hydroshield is a simple silicone film that is not patented and has reasonably good consumer quality but you can purchase a better consumer applied product called ClearFusion V at Shopdfi.com and not only treat the new door, but all the other doors in your house for likely less money. DFi has shower door manufacturers around the world that have sold our coatings for over 15 years, why not ask a real reseller what his customers have told them?

I say real because the Glass Company above called ATM is not and has never been licensed to sell our patented process so that company never had a chamber as a license is required. That said maybe the person commenting worked somewhere that did have one but why stretch the truth here?

He commented on the chamber method not being as green as he thought but again the facts are that the Southern California Air Quality Management District has approved every chamber out there and they are the most strict section of the EPA.

ATM mentions a competitor Clearshield Ritec (whom we have independent test results that we outperform) and gives them a glowing recommendation but I have to say I doubt he knows about the independent testing that was done to quell all these baseless claims.

Again glass is quite porous IF IT HAS NOT BEEN TREATED. Squeegees work great but are what our coatings eliminate the need for when applied and maintained properly. I am sure some of you reading this are skeptical, so I will offer you a free small pre moistened towelette nanopax of a coating for you to try yourself. If you already have stains, no problem, let us know and we will give a small sample of stain remover as well so you can get a test area clean.

The picture I have attached is showing two pieces of glass with water dripped on both sides but only treated on one side so you can see the mercury effect. For those who want to take us up on the free samples mention Houzz and send request to info@diamonfusion.com Thanks for listening.

**Q: HELP! Clear Glass Shower Doors w/ hard water stains** *(in Cleaning Tips)*

I have extremely hard water and have clear glass shower doors in my master bath. I can't get the hard water stains off to keep it clean. I have tried everything it seems...all those harsh, yucky, expensive chemicals...bar keepers friend, hydrogen peroxide. Someone mentioned vinegar...could that work? They look soooo horrid and I am so embarassed. Any suggestions would be great! thanks!

A: Hello Pat-Bob Banning!
Thank you for your interest! Our Glass Restoration products are located on www.shopdfi.com. If you have any other questions about the products themselves or any issues you are trying to resolve, please don't hesitate to ask.
Best,
The DFI Team
