We recently worked with Tin Cup Enterprises on a large kitchen remodel project that required major overhauling of our electric and plumbing systems as well. When we first started, John said that when the kitchen is finished and everything is moved in, every item in your kitchen will have a place and every part of it will function properly. Although I wasn’t sure I believed him at the time, I do now. I am amazed at how easy it is to walk into my kitchen and be able to start creating the food that I have in my mind. I know where everything is, and it does all work together beautifully. One of the skills I appreciate most is John’s ability to understand a family’s needs for the space being discussed. He brings up issues that may be a problem, so these things are reviewed ahead of any work to be planned. From the first time he reached out to us to find a time to see the situation (and it was a uniquely challenging job) to the moment he finished, John was very kind, diligent and professional. We had a load-bearing column in the middle of our staircase landing. We spoke with a lot of contractors and many of them refused to take the job due to its complicated nature. We were looking for someone who could find a safe, elegant solution and be able to communicate effectively. When John stopped by to see the project, he was punctual (and continued to be throughout) and showed a great eye for detail. It is clear that quality and our happiness came first and he never rushed through any meetings with us or any work done as some tend to do. He is the type of professional who not only cares about the project but considers the consequences of his work for other parts of your house. John had several solutions for us, gave us the pros and cons, and allowed us to choose how to move forward. Given the structural nature of the project, John also worked with a structural engineer to finalize the plan. After the receipt of the permit, John arrived on the date we had agreed upon and the project took him 4 half-days. He used high quality materials, worked proficiently and kept us updated each day. He also cleaned up after each day and covered our furniture/household items to prevent them from getting dirty. He did not leave things messy, no tools laying around, no dirt/grime. John's work went above and beyond our expectations. He also built a half wall/shelf with complete marble counter top to match the kitchen counters. In the basement he installed half walls with counters and shelves as well as switched out all the light switches through out the house (62+) to dimmers. In the upstairs level he installed a wet bar complete with electric and plumbing plus the cabinets and more wall to wall shelving.
