During this period (March 2020 - July 2020), however, something happened with our in-floor heating system and it never worked again. > > We had reached out to the contractor who stated he could stop by to see if he could advise on the issue, we reached out again in 2021 and now it has been a little over 3 years. We just wanted him to view it and state whether or not the flooring system unit failed or it was something easily manageable. The entire job consisted of removing and erecting multiple walls and ceilings, removing and installing hard wood flooring in multiple rooms, installing pocket doors, relocating electrical fixtures, and painting (matching existing colors perfectly). All his work, cost estimates, and time projections were clearly listed in a well executed contract. No additional costs were incurred and the job was completed in the time frame listed. It was an incredible backdrop to all of the stainless steel appliances. His workmanship is both impeccable and beautiful. He is the fine match between an excellent tradesman, and a creative artist. Paul has the rigor and experience of working with VERY HIGH END clients and brings that level of professionalism to every job he does. He has tiled our kitchen backsplash (even while we were out of town!) and remodeled our entire 1200 square foot basement. From a completely unfinished open floor plan, he created a work-out room, craft room, photo studio, storage area, shop, playroom and a wonderful family room for entertaining. Not only is he always on time, he stayed within our budget and was very sensitive to our family's need to live in the house while he was working. A project that might have taken other contractors MONTHS was completed within a few short weeks. My husband is an avid DIY'er - who OFTEN has difficulty when contractors do work in our home. Not with Paul. His work is professional, clean, and he makes it SO easy to live in the space during a construction job. It's difficult to find people who will 'do things as well as you', who are competent and sensitive to your individual needs, and people you'd leave your entire home to while away on vacation... but Paul is one of those guys. I am proud to recommend Paul Matarazzo to anyone. I trust that he'll create a realistic estimate, stick to a reliable schedule, do an excellent job, and communicate if anything is slipping off-track.
