> Maria designed our beautiful kitchen island and counter tops. Her professional insights and also her opinion were extremely helpful in the process of choosing the materials for and designing the project. In our previous house we tried to use the big box store "designers" to help us in our kitchen remodel project. They did not offer any unique ideas and did not seem to put any thought at all into our project. Maria went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations with regard to designing a unique kitchen island to fit a less than optimal space in our kitchen. She had suggestions to fit multiple budgets ranging from out of the box cabinets to full custom cabinetry. We also really appreciated her focus on eco friendly and sustainable cabinetry. Maria was a pleasure to work with and we would love to hire her again for another project!

She emailed the preliminary plans and finalized them upon her return.   Maria's design included taking down a couple of walls and opening up the space to connect the kitchen and dinning room.  She designed a new larger closet as we tore out the old one.  She is very creative with her design.  She selected many different types of cabinets and drawers in her design such as a floor to ceiling pantry, a cat cabinet where I feed the cats, a couple silverware and utensil organizing trays, a pull out spice rack and many other accessories that make the space very efficient and functional.   She  linked the space together with a breakfast bar that included the refrigerator, a trash/recycle center, a soda/wine refrigerator, a bread drawer and lighted cabinets. > We just completed a kitchen and bath remodel with Maria Hars and she not only did a fantastic job on the kitchen design but was also fantastic to work with! It was an extensive remodel with the wall between the dining room coming down to make one large open space for cooking and dining. Maria was out of state when I began the project but knew my kitchen from an earlier consultation. She drew up a preliminary plan on her kitchen program and emailed it to me and nailed it from the get-go! It was just what I wanted to create a good layout that was beautiful and functional. It included a beautiful island, crown molding on the cabinets and a huge casement window over the sink and dishwasher. I knew I wanted white cabinets and hardwood flooring, a double oven and 36” cooktop and she laid it out perfectly! Her vendors were great also-the cabinet company, granite yard, plumbing fixtures, right down to the organizational elements (inside the cabinets) and cabinet hardware. She is very hands on and believes in form AND function. We absolutely love our kitchen which transformed the entire home!

> We hired Maria to re-design our master bathroom, laundry room, and master closet in the spring of 2007. She provided excellent written documentation of the scope of the project, detailed graphics of the proposed project and accompanied me to sale rooms to choose the various components of her design. She was able to design an excellent option for our laundry room to allow for the inclusion of a new utility sink and a folding area with wall cabinet above (using a hinged counter top and magnetic cleat). Initially she proposed using a general contractor that was not licensed in MA so we chose own contractor but she was able to work well with him in executing the design. Overall, a great job.
