He has an amazing aesthetic and great knowledge of period architecture and his level of talent is really hard to find. He's great to work with and we feel so lucky to have found him! **★★★★★ — Scott Dickes, Oct. 2016** > We hired Chip and his company (Hackley & Associates) for a renovation and expansion of our 100 year old house. We were particularly concerned about matching the house so that it did not look like an addition, but like it was part of the original house. We are very pleased with the outcome. Chip's ideas, drawings and attention to detail resulted in a finished product we are very happy with. We would use Chip again, and recommend him to others. **★★★★★ — Tim and Elizabeth Dugan, Sept. 2016** > Chip and his associates did a fantastic job integrating new design and comfort with the architecture and character of our 100-year-old home. He added gorgeous bathrooms to existing space and designed a gourmet kitchen of the highest quality and functionality. He was great to work with and we would recommend him to anyone looking for high-end construction. **★★★★★ — Michelle Roberts, Sept. 2016** > Chip is the consummate idea man and really knows what is takes to turn your vision into a reality. He takes the time to understand not only how you want the house to look, but also how you want to live in it. So the kitchen will be arranged for maximum efficiency and practicality, but also look beautiful. Even better than you imagined! Chip designed the renovations on both of our houses and we highly recommend him. **★★★★★ — millers400, Sept. 2016** > Chip and his team were wonderful. We had an old house with great bones but a challenging layout. We needed more family space and an updated interior, and Hackley helped us achieve that without sacrificing the character of the original house. Chip understood our vision of an English Country Home with views leading you from one room to the next, and ultimately to the yard and gardens outside. We are so happy with the finished product! **★★★★★ — mwdeaver, Sept. 2016** > We have used Hackley & Associates for several home projects and would highly recommend this group. They are extremely professional and easy to work with. We found the architects to be creative, meticulous with details, and very accommodating. They clearly have a strong knowledge base and high quality standards. They definitely listened to the parameters that we outlined in the project and followed through with everything on time. They are very worthy of a five star rating! **★★★★★ — Scott Bates, Aug. 2016** > Chip has an incredible eye and he's a great problem solver. We completely renovated a 1948 ranch and turned it into an authentic Cape Cod style home, complete with a wrap around porch, cupolas and cedar siding. In addition to having a wonderful design sense, he relishes the details...moldings, finishes, etc. We characterize our relationship as a great partnership. We have recommend him highly to friends and will undoubtedly use him again on another project. Pictures and details can be found at www.58overlookdrive.com. **★★★★★ — Mark Challinor, Aug. 2016** > Hackley & Associates did a superb job on our residential addition. Chip Hackley listened attentively to our concerns and budgetary considerations and tailored his suggestions based on what we wanted. The end result was beautiful and Hackley was there along the way whenever we needed them. I would definitely recommend Hackley & Associates to others. **★★★★★ — michbetter, Aug. 2016** > Wonderful to work with, very thorough, loved the end result. Ran into challenges with our builder and Chip really advocated for us. We just used them for a second project in our home! **★★★★★ — Jolene Wilson, Aug. 2016** > Best architect on the North Shore! Hackley and Assoc recently did a renovation project for us. They helped throughout the process and we came in on time and on budget. Through them we found a fabulous contractor and we loved the recommendations they gave us. We are so happy with the results and our friends can't believe it's the same house. **★★★★★ — Sandy Welch, Aug. 2016** > Chip and his team were fabulous. They were great partners -- they were inquisitive, shared creative ideas and importantly, they anticipated any and all issues. He was hands on and patient with us as we consider the various options. Importantly, we were thrilled with the final product. We would highly recommend them and would look forward to working with them again! **★★★★★ — HU-619138, Aug. 2016** > Chip Hackley and his people were a real pleasure to work with on our extensive remodel. The home we purchased had "great bones" according to Chip, but when we were done it was great across the board. They transformed an interior that was somewhat contemporary (when we purchased our home) into a more traditional feeling home. Their ideas were perfect. We love living in our home everyday. And we actually discuss how much we love it often. Without Hackley & Associates' creativity and professionalism, our home would not be what it is today. They are pros. The quality of the work is terrific. And we're not the only ones who notice the amazing work they did. We regularly receive glowing comments from people who see our home for the first time. ## Selected projects - [Old Farm](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/old-farm-pj-vj~7697568) - Location: Northfield, IL - Photos: 4 - Description: Old Farm is a Gut-Renovation and Expansion to a mid-century build in Illinois by Hackley Architects, Imagination Development and Tysen Kay - [Old Hunt](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/old-hunt-pj-vj~7893292) - Location: Northfield, IL - Photos: 4 - [Seven-Forty](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/seven-forty-pj-vj~7662626) - Location: Winnetka, IL - Photos: 4 - Description: Seven-Forty was a down-to-the-studs renovation of a beloved 1920s tudor revival in Illinois by Hackley Architects, Follyn Builders, Ash St. Interiors, and Tobi Abawonse - [Farmhouse](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/farmhouse-pj-vj~7662618) - Location: Culver, IN - Photos: 4 - Description: The Indiana House is a contemporary new construction project over Lake Maxinkuckee in Indiana By Hackley Architects, Skyline Builders, and Tysen Kay - [Pelham](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/pelham-pj-vj~7662615) - Location: Winnetka, IL - Photos: 4 - Description: Pelham was a gut-renovation, expansion and garage addition of a French country house in Illinois by Hackley Architects, Imagination Development, and Tobi Abawonse - [Ardsley II](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/ardsley-ii-pj-vj~7662628) - Location: Winnetka, IL - Photos: 4 - Description: Ardsley II was a partial gut-renovation and kitchen explansion of a unique French home in Illinois by Hackley Architects, Vande Logt Construction, and Tobi Abawonse - [Lakeside](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/lakeside-pj-vj~7695734) - Location: Lakeside, MI - Photos: 4 - [Breck](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/breck-pj-vj~7673051) - Location: Breckenridge, CO - Photos: 4 - Description: Breck is a contemporary farmhouse with traditional influences.
